Our hosts were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Our fondest memory is still of having breakfast by the swimming pool and chatting to our wonderful hosts and the other guests.

“We wish we had stayed longer.There was noth”
We were made very welcome from the moment we arrived. Our bedroom was large and the bathroom equally so. There was secure parking included. Breakfast was simple (at our request ) and Phillipe was a most congenial host. We spent ages just chatting about life in general and about the city of Tours. Language was no problem as although we speak a little French, Phillipe was good with his English (and Spanish also he said ). When we asked about finding a table at a restaurant, he suggested La Bistro du Lac some 5 minutes away. It was superb, so much so, we went the second night as well. We didn’t give ourselves enough time but there must be some amazing walks along the river which is only about 200 metres away. I would thoroughly recommend Clos du Vieux Port and will return given half a chance.

“Fantastic B&B if you have a car to get there”
Wonderful friendly hosts, who offered drinks on arrival, provided a sumptuous French Breakfast and assisted with recommendations for dining in the local village. Facilities include a pool. Rooms in great condition.
