Fantastic and beautiful location in the new harbour of Cala del Forte. Fabulous views from the balconies to the sunset and sunrise on the Mediterranean!

Excellent, quality hotel. Very nice rooms, location and, for Italy, a very good breakfast. Very beautiful old town 5 minutes walk from the hotel, I recommend everyone to visit it - it is an old authentic Italian town.

“Good value for money and the best staff”

This was this was one of the nicest hotels that we have stayed in. Housekeeping staff were amazing and nothing was too difficult for them to provide us with. The front desk is staffed 24 hours a day and every time we came in we were always greeted with the lovely smile and wishing us a good morning or good night. We arrived very late our first night and our check-in was super fast and we were given a few bottles of ice cold Spring Water to go. The hotel is just across the road from the beach and you could probably roll out of bed down to the first floor have your breakfast and roll over the road to get to the beach. For those of you who like a good breakfast ... All I can say is it's certainly is It is good value for money with a wide range of items to choose from. Their dining room staff remembered our coffee order from the first day and whatever it is that we'd ask them for they were always willing to provide us with it. There was free parking on the street if you were fortunate to get a space however they do have underground parking for 10 euros a night when you stay in the hotel - it is safe, well lit and just across the road from the hotel. This hotel would be in my top 10 and it is well worth going again and again.

“Nice hotel with not so nice breakfast”

The hotel was overall fine. Our room was modern, clean and spacious with comfortable beds and a nice bathroom with shower. The employees in the breakfast room was very helpful and polite, so a extra big golden star to them.

“An unexpected surprise!”

We had to make an unexpected overnight stay in Ventimiglia as there was a railway strike. Most of the hotels near the station were fully booked. We stumbled upon Sole Mare and immediately booked as the price and inclusion of breakfast made it a great deal for our family of four. The location and views were amazing, the beach and restaurants were across the road from the hotel - which provided something for us to do for the afternoon. The staff were the friendliest people we had met in Italy, and the breakfast and service were a real treat. The hotels decor is also so beautiful.

Loved the fact they don't entertain outside guests. It is very private, secure and the receptionists very sweet and helpful showing genuine care. Staff MC at the reception desk excelled my expectations with her innate attention to detail in supporting me with any issues. Only issue was slight noise from breakfast area early in the morning as I was based on 2nd floor and when I booked I insisted on a room far away from the elevator. The located my room next to the elevator, so was disappointed that they didn't listen to my request or at least tell me it wasn't available.

“Beautiful View”

Beautiful view over the new marina. Recently renovated & beautifully decorated room. Able to sit on balcony & enjoy the view. Delicious breakfast in pleasant dining room with a view. Helpful day time staff. Easy walk through tunnel to main part of town & train station (20 mins). A number of restaurants along waterfront close to accommodation.

The hotel has terrible noise insulation. We could hear the people in the next room clearly, not shouting just talking. There was also a very loud water pipe running past the room which regularly made a lot of noise. The worst part was there were bed bugs. The hotel denied it, but my partner and I were both definitely bitten and it was the only place away from home we've stayed for weeks. Very luckily we didn't take any infestation away with us! The hotel have of course denied any bed bug issue, saying they sanitise the rooms. I'm not sure they understand how easy it is for bed bugs to get in on a guest and set up home in the room! I hope they have taken our complaint seriously in the background and properly fumigated!
