Cozy little cabin in a beautiful quiet place, 20mins walk to restaurants etc .

We enjoyed the pool/jacuzzi. It was a quiet location with privacy.

Everything! This is our second visit as Alex's guests and just as the first time it was absolutely perfect. This visit we also had the wonderful opportunity to meet his partner, Brigitte. Second time around we decided to leave our car at home, travelling from the UK, flying into Bordeaux and catching the local train to Lesparre. Alex kindly helped us arrange a private transfer and once in Montelivet we rented bikes directly from him. It was an idyllic and simple stay cycling back and forth each day between the daily market, the beach and the onsite pool. The accommodation itself is perfect for two with a very well equipped kitchen, a comfy bed and thoughtfully arranged decor with everything that you could need, coffee machine, plenty of knives, bowls etc. Vensac is easily reached via bike, 10km each way on the flat and very safe, most of it on dedicated cycle ways. We visited Cheatux David for wine tasting and a lovely family run restaurant for a well executed simple lunch at A La Bonne Table.

Ideally situated close to woods and 500m from the sea. Clean and tidy. Very private and nicely decorated. Absolutely perfect for just us 2.

The cabin was small but had everything you needed and very comfortable. The location was amazing with the beach and walks right on our doorstep. The dogs loved it.

Very nice and comfortable cabin for two people. All efficiently designed and nicely decorated. Very friendly welcome by the host and everything well explained. Good location relative to the town centre and beach.

“Brilliant place to stay”

Best beach cabin ever!! Beautifully decorated, quiet, spacious, warm and comfortable. Great bed and bedding and the bikes were safe outside. It has everything you need for a long stay. We wish we could have had more time there. It would be great to return one day.

Firstly, I would like to tell you about your host, Alex. He is an absolute delight. From the time of booking he was very responsive and helpful in answering all of our questions and throughout our stay was very helpful and friendly. He has a very relaxed approach which helps to create a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. The cabin is well equipped with everything you could need for a self catering holiday. We made use of the outdoor plancha, which you can request, most evenings. The town is a 15-20 minute walk away but by bike only less than 10, we rented these from Alex and it made our daily trips to the market and beach effortless. The beach is beautiful and only a 10 min walk or 2 by bike. The pool is great with multiple settings including jacuzzi and resistance jet, which is very helpful if you feel like burning some cheese calories! There were numerous places to visit nearby but on our 5 night stay we decided to stay in Montalivet and could happily have stayed much longer without feeling the need to venture any further. The town itself is well equipped with a large Aldi and a local Spar but you can buy most things from the daily market - butchers, fish mongers, fruit and veg, plus lots of clothes, pottery and other stalls that you might expect from a good market. We particularly enjoyed a daily picnic lunch (high tables under a canopy) of oysters, seafood, cheese etc accompanied by cremant or wine at crazily cheap prices -€20 will get you a dozen oysters and a bottle!!! We will definitely be back, a little piece of paradise which Alex obviously takes great pride in which is an absolute pleasure to experience.

Lovely property - very peaceful yet near to the buzzing town of Montalivet. Great facilities and very comfortable.

It was absolutely delightful. Wonderful location and easy parking. Short walk to the most lovely beaches and little town. Great shops just 5 min drive away. The cabin had everything you could need. We cooked a couple of evenings easily. Our hosts were wonderful and really helpful and welcoming. Very private too. 5 ⭐️

Really lovely spot. We were on bicycles and found the garden and the outside terrace great for organizing our gear. Great interior space with lots of room and necessities to cook a few meals. Town was also super cute with good food options. Great beach too!
