Located a 2-minute walk from Venice’s Santa Lucia Train Station, NH Venezia Santa Lucia offers classic Venetian-style rooms with air conditioning in summer months. Set in a 19th-century building, it features free WiFi throughout, an elegant entrance hall and a small garden. Each room is spacious and includes a private bathroom with bath or shower, and a minibar. Some rooms offer an enchanting view over the Grand Canal. A buffet breakfast is served in the bright dining room, and features both sweet and savuory items. The entrance hall comes with antique marbles and a magnificent Murano glass chandelier. NH Venezia Santa Lucia hotel is conveniently located in Cannareggio area of Venice, 900 metres from Piazzale Roma. Saint Mark’s Square is a pleasant 30-minute walk away.

Literally 5 minutes walk along a flat surface from the main railway station of Santa Lucia, so it’s easy with suitcases. The lobby is beautiful and the location of the hotel is generally convenient for water taxis, vaporetto and general surface navigation of the city. We had an amazing breakfast included, were allocated a rooftop loft room with an amazing side view of the grand canal. The bells of an adjacent church chimed us awake every morning. A beautiful accidental feature. The hotel reception staff were all lovely, helpful and friendly. Our special thanks to Miss Aurora at the front desk.

“Terrible”
An absolutely terrible experience! We paid for our stay in full through Booking.com before arriving at the hotel. However, at check-out, a bald male staff member insisted that no payment had been made and demanded that we pay again. We clearly explained that the reservation had already been paid through Booking.com and showed him our digital payment confirmations as proof. He refused to accept them. He even slammed his hand on the desk and stated that we had to make the payment immediately, and that if it turned out to be a duplicate charge, we would have to resolve the matter with Booking.com ourselves. Because we did not want to miss our train and felt intimidated by the staff member’s aggressive attitude, we had no choice but to pay a second time. Immediately after making the payment, we contacted Booking.com. Booking.com spoke directly with the hotel. The hotel admitted that it had made a mistake, but informed Booking.com that it would not refund the money. Fortunately, Booking.com stepped in and refunded the amount we had originally paid to them, thereby resolving the financial loss we suffered due to the hotel’s error. I am not even mentioning the other problems: it was impossible to get a coffee before 4 p.m., and outside of check-in there was not even water available for purchase. There were several other issues as well. Please do not confuse this hotel with other NH hotels in different cities. In terms of service quality and customer care, it is not even comparable. Based on our experience, I would not recommend this hotel.

“Good hotel”
It's close to the train station and has easy access to buses and water buses. Venice has many bridges, but this hotel was fine even with suitcases. The hotel rooms were wonderful, and the staff were friendly. The breakfast was also delicious.

Location perfect if you wish to be near transport links and do not mind being right in the centre of major sites. Staff were welcoming, obliging and very helpful. Breakfast wasn’t included in our booking.

“Great Rooms, beautiful old charm.”
Great location, great rooms, upgrades was worth it. Breakfast was worth it compared to what was offered around the area. Make sure you check which upgraded rooms you're getting if you are getting canal view as some rooms has balcony and some don't - should price and sell the rooms differently so people that paid for balcony can be guaranteed a balcony. They were good enough to let us change to a balcony room when available - great service. Bed was super comfy.
