Overview
Locanda Al Leon is housed in a historic Venetian property of the 15th century. Cross the nearby Bridge of Sighs and you will get to St. Marks Square. Each room is en suite and comes with air conditioning, a minibar, and a TV with satellite channels. Some rooms are set in a modern building 20 metres away. Fully refurbished, the strictly non-smoking Locanda still features original period architecture and traditional furnishings, in common areas as in rooms. A continental breakfast is served daily in the breakfast room, between 08:00 and 10:00. The staff provide a porter service to carry your luggage up and down the stairs at check-in and check-out. Free luggage storage is available until departure time.

The location of the property was excellent, right beside St Marks Square and also the Vaporetto stop. Staff and owner were very welcoming and helpful. Really lovely breakfast on the 3rd floor and the lady who served it was so nice. The room was very traditional and beautiful and the bed was extremely comfortable. My husband had difficulty with the stairs so they organised a full tray to be brought to our room for him which was above and beyond.

It was such a lovely property in a great location in Venice. The staff were so friendly and allowed us to leave our bags there on the day of check out until our train in the afternoon. We would absolutely stay here again. The host also gave us some brilliant local recommendations.

Fantastic location, 2 minutes from San Marco and 1 minute from San Zaccaria water transport hub. Right next to a small square with good restaurant, pizzeria, pastry shop etc. Yet very tranquil, hidden in narrow street. Very friendly staff, clean rooms, comfy bed, good breakfast. Good value for money.

The shower cubicle was small for the size of the room and the way the doors opened made it the tightest squeeze to get into of any shower I have ever used!! Such a shame especially when I’ve stayed here before (but in a different room) and have recommended the hotel to friends previously.

Location is close to the San Marco Square and delicious restaurants area. Above all, it located to next to famous local bakery. Clean and hot waters are plenty at the shower as well as their room clean is perfect.

Location was just perfect. We booked only 5 days before the stay and didnt have much choice for our budget. This place turned out to be perfect for the location. Clean, friendly and very helpful staff, always with a smile. Only room was small but we didnt need more.
