Overview
Located just 400 metres from Vendome town centre, Camping au Coeur de Vendome offers self-catering mobile homes and tents in a 3-hectare park, near the Loir River. It features WiFi access and free private parking on site. Each accommodation includes a furnished terrace and garden area. All have either an indoor or covered outdoor kitchenette. Mobile homes also have a private toilet, and some have a shower. There are shared bathroom and laundry facilities on site. Just outside Camping au Coeur de Vendome, you will be in the historical town centre, with a choice of shops restaurants and activities within a 10-minute walk. Loire Valley chateaux such as Blois and Chambord are within a 1-hour drive.

Great to walk into Vendôme, nice location. A bit of nature in a city centre. Clean and functional for the weekend. The owner was very helpful and friendly.

There were many empty mobile homes in the camping area but the organization refused to upgrade our request from previous my booking of a chalet to a mobile home or a whole wooden house. We had to live in the chalet for 3 raining days, cooking, eating and toilet in a 7 degree weather, as well as bathing. The camping area did not remind us no offering of bed sheets but charged 18 euros when we checked in as using a bed sheet is mandatory. The covid-19 brought too much uncomfortable with camping experience as restaurants are closed, tourism trips are limited, and other equipment like library / gaming / sporting also not offer to use.
