Overview
Located in the centre of Venafro, the family-run Dimora del Prete features an equipped garden with flowers and lemon trees. The air-conditioned rooms have antique furnishings, and some also have frescoes. These rooms offer balconies with different views, and come with an en suite bathroom with free toiletries and hairdryer. Each room has tiled or marble floors, while some have free Wi-Fi. “A magnificent mansion of great historical value with very comfortable beds and a generous breakfastgenerous breakfast”
This is so much more than a bed and breakfast, not to be missed. It was an experience staying here. Magnificent rooms with original antiques and a breakfast with all the trimmings. The gracious owner of this magnificent home, Dorothy, is a wealth of knowledge.

“Home away from Home (but it's a PALAZZO!!)”
Such a fabulous stay at Dimora del Prete di Belmonte! The location is beautiful. The palazzo is iconic. The hospitality is exceptional. Our host, Dorothy and the manager, Angela were warm and helpful with their advice and assistance. Our conversations are a highlight of our stay. We are so grateful to have met you and all the proprietors of Venafro that were so welcoming and hospitable! A wonderful "home away from home" in Molise. I really hope we can come back soon!

“Not to be missed”
Extraordinary building ,one of a kind . The owner and manager were extremely helpful and friendly, arranged a car hire which was delivered to the door within the hour , which we were grateful for as we speak no Italian . Breakfast was great- in amazing surroundings. Was given a full tour of this fabulous historic house before our departure.

“Historical atmosphere and very nice experience”
Everything was great! One come here really to see and stay in this authentic historical property. The room was nice and clean. The property owners are very welcoming, speak fluent English and gave us a very nice and interesting tour around the villa. Breakfast was good, you get to order what you like beyond the normal bread, marmalade yoghurt and fruits available. The town is nice and quiet like the area around the property.

Fantastic historical palace with stunning interior furnishings paintings and artefact and beautiful outside terraces. We were given a tour and were tested as family by the owner who was incredibly hospitable. She personally made us breakfast in the historical dining room

“Sleep in an old palace”
It is a huge beautiful mansion. It was a excellent place to relax. Breakfast were excellent. We had place in the courtyard to repair our bicycles.

“A hidden gem”
I liked that I was stepping back in time to a bygone era. It felt like home. The grand staircase the historic breakfast room overlooking the green valley. The host and the staff was so friendly.

“What a beautiful property!”
The palace is absolutely beautiful and full of history and original features. The staff (Dorothy & Angela) were lovely and welcoming, and offered a tour of the property to hear about its features and history. There so much wonderful character in this property. The breakfast was fantastic - fresh warm bread, homemade marmalades, cheese and meat - we also had eggs. There is a lift in the property which is good for those less able bodied. The location provides epic views over the area and the terrace we had offered views over an incredible vista. Despite the rain, it was still a cracking view! Highly recommend experiencing this accommodation and being awed in the same way we were.
