This mountain lodge-style hotel is on Skalets Torg square, 50 metres from one of Vemdalsskalet Ski Centre’s 10 ski lifts. Facilities include a seasonal restaurant and a sports bar. WiFi is free. Flat-screen TVs, hardwood floors and a seating area are standard at Hovde Hotell. Each room features a modern bathroom with a shower. Vemdalen’s 3 resorts have a combined 35 ski lifts and 58 slopes. Klövsjö-Storhogna and Björnrike are a 20-minute drive away. Ski passes are valid for all 3 resorts and are sold just 15 metres from Hotell Hovde. Hiking and mountain biking trails can be accessed directly outside the property. All meals are served at the in-house Hovde Kitchen & bar. The nearest supermarket is 150 metres away and is open year round. Most local cafés, shops and restaurants are open during winter. Åre-Östersund Airport is less than 2 hours' drive from Hovde Hotell.

“Not sure if we will return. Poor local amenities during late summer. Only one restaurant available with only one vegan”
An alarm starter at 03.33am and continued for 15 minutes. Strange noises from an adjoining room. We didn’t feel safe.

“Amazing Staff and great rooms”
It was on route of a bike race. We arrived really late and the staff went out there way to feed and drink us after they’d closed. I can not rate them highly enough. Thank you
