“A lovely stay on the Camino”

Las Rocas was centrally located in Vega de Valcarce. It was very clean and was right next to the river with a seating area just for hotel guests. Our host was very friendly and efficient.

I had booked a private twin room which was a dream. So clean and immaculate. The shower was amazing, Juan was so helpful and kind. The food was delicious. It is a beautiful professional family business

Very nice welcome, cute room, comfortable bed. Lovely small balcony overlooking the river. The shower was difficult to use. No warning that there would be no food available anywhere in the town. Although it is a large village with two banks, pharmacy etc - no restaurants or bars at all. Be sure to bring food if staying here.

À lovely little Hostal, near to the village centre, the host was spot on with her restaurant recommendation, the Paella was the best I’ve tasted for the entire month I’ve been in Spain. Everything in the room was exactly what i needed for a comfy short stay.

My room was warm and comfortable. I fell asleep to the sound of the river which was fantastic after a tiring day being a pilgrim. My host was very kind and helpful. The bed was very cosy with lovely bedding. Loved it. Perfect.

Right on the Camino route. Restaurant next door was recommended by lady who checked me in and was an excellent choice. They (the restaurant) also had one of those was seals for your credencia, so a win-win.

This was by far my most favourite place to stay on the Camino!!! It was just idyllic and exactly what I needed when I arrived after a difficult day (personally) I couldn't have asked for a better place to be than right by the river! Even listening to it from the room was so beautiful. Ana was an amazing host and could not do enough! Even leaving sweets by the bed...Las Rocas is a place not to be missed!! And I hope I get the chance to return some day...thank you Ana for a wonderful stay!

Excellent location on the Camino Frances and when I arrived on Sunday afternoon the proprietor told me that the 2 little supermarkets would be closing at 14:00! She was very helpful and friendly. There’s a lovely terrace at the back of the building -it looks down on the river.
