The apartment was very cozy, and everything had clearly been thoughtfully arranged. It is also nicely secluded, far from neighbors, which gives a pleasant sense of privacy. The views of the valley were beautiful, and a nearby town offered small shops and a local market where we were able to do some shopping. Unfortunately, the weather was not very good, so we could not enjoy the pool with its scenic view. However, the apartment was well heated throughout, so we still felt comfortable during our stay.

“A gem in the mountains”

The location of the house above San Mateo is gorgeous. You have beautiful views from the terrace and the pool. The house is much bigger on the inside because it's built into the rock. The host is super helpful and knowledgeable. The location is perfect for road trips across the island and through the mountains.

Location of this house is on the hill so the view is awesome. Parking is inside and free. Plenty of room with enough blankets. In November you feel cold as its up the hill. 2 bedroom have TV so kids can relax. Some puzzle games are also there. Key collection and other information by Mr. Cesar is excellent. He will really help you on WhatsApp messages. On phone may be some language barrier.

The view from the property was excellent looking down the valley. The private pool was a big bonus, especially when the sun was shining.

“Wonderful House with excellent views”

This is a wonderful house in an excellent location. The house had all the facilities you need to enjoy your stay. The outside space is wonderful. We love spending time outside, this house is great for that as there is so much outside space. We had a barbecue a couple of times, you have a table and chairs outside, even a sink! The swimming pool is great, there is an outside bathroom too and an outside shower. The house has heaters in every room as the temperature at night was around 14 degrees in February. The views from the house are stunning! We travelled all around Gran Canaria from here as we had a car. We slept really well, it is very quiet. The next town is Vega de San Mateo, it is about 4km away and you had 2 supermarkets there. Cesar, the host was great, recommending walks and restaurants. We loved Casa Martell restaurant. We took a taxi from the house so we could enjoy a bottle of wine with our meal. The taxi was only around 13 euros each way. We definitely recommend this house.

The house is really beautiful and offers everything we need for a one week stay. Next time I will choose it again when travel to Gran Canaria!

Quiet place with a view from the hilltop

What’s not to like? The property exceeded our expectations on all levels: exceptionally clean; beautiful, peaceful location; fantastic nature including daily goat herds along the road, gorgeous flowers and plants; all mod cons including an outdoor barbecue with a stunning 360 degree view of the mountains; well equipped kitchen; close to Spar supermarket in San Vega de Mateo and a swimming pool and outdoor area with a shower. We would definitely return here to further explore the area and hiking.

“Perfect location for your holiday”

We spend one week in Casa Nueva Paquito. 2 couples and 1 baby. The house has everything you need for your stay in Gran Canaria. It's very central. It's located in a quiet beautiful area. We stayed at Casa Nueva during winter time. The pellet fire was an absolute pleasure. When we ran out of pellets, the owner provided us with more pellets without hesitation. The kitchen of the house is fully equipped (it has al the details!). The house is just like in de description and like all the good reviews. I would recommend everybody to stay at Casa Cueva Paquito. Thank you Cesar for making our stay in Gran Canaria exceptional!!
