“WOW”
The Steam Hotel was an outstanding experience from start to finish. The atmosphere was absolutely amazing. Very inspiring industrial design that gives the whole place a unique and stylish character. Even the standard room was surprisingly spacious, very clean, and smelled really fresh, which made the stay even more comfortable. The breakfast was huge with a great variety and excellent quality. The staff were consistently friendly and welcoming, adding to the overall positive impression. A big plus was the nearby public parking, which was both very convenient and reasonably priced at around €11 for 24 hours.

A quirky, beautifully designed hotel with three restaurants, spa, indoor and outdoor swimming pools and spacious, comfortable rooms. Pleasant, friendly and helpful staff. Activities such as table football and shuffleboard available.

“an emotional stay made so much easier by the people in both the city and the staff at the hotel”
Staff were amazing - so helpful - I am disabled and in a wheelchair / on crutches and we - myself, 2 grandsons and daughter-in-law - were visiting to scatter my son's ashes in the city where he had found work, life and had hope to make their forever home. The city itself was beautiful and the walks around the lake breathtaking.

“A Wonderful Stay with Superb Highlights”
The Steam Hotel, in itself is a stunning piece of architecture. The location is also fabulous overlooking Lake Mälaren. Maybe we missed it but a copper plaque detailing the history of the building and site would be a fantastic addition to this iconic venue. We stayed in October, and despite a busy environment had a wonderful morning at the Voltage Lounge Club, whilst we awaited our room. This spa boasts stunning views, indoor and outdoor pools and a chilled environment. Our room was spacious and had a view on the 15th floor. The bed was generous, a bit soft for our liking, but we got a good night's sleep regardless. Facilities were exceptional. We had dinner at The Chamberlain and drinks at the Locavore, an Asian style bar on Floor 17 with stellar views of Västerås at night. Dinner was good, but there were issues. The real gem of this hotel, other than the site is the staff, everyone was charming and welcoming- I would like to make a special mention to Marie at the front desk who got us into our room by 2pm. Also Diana at Locavore who created a non-alcoholic cocktail specially to my taste, that was pleasing. Both women were attentive and professional. I commend the bars in this hotel for having mocktails, as I am a non-alcoholic. Maybe having photos of the drinks would be a next recommendation or videos running on a screen. Visual enticement is a good way to encourage people to try something new. Breakfast was the star of show, and we'd return just for that! A wonderful stay with superb highlights!

“A real WOW hotel!”
Everything!!! A truly fabulous hotel, and wished we could stay longer! There really is something for everyone here. So much to do and see. The staff were very accommodating.
