Overview
Set in Västerås Science Park, this hotel is just 600 metres off the E18 Motorway. It offers free Wi-Fi and a lunch restaurant serving daily specials. Bright, Scandinavian décor is featured in all rooms at Hotell Valsaren, along with a fridge, microwave and electric kettle. Each has a flat-screen TV and tiled bathroom with underfloor heating. A free sandwich, fruit and coffee are provided every evening. A full dinner can be arranged and placed in the fridge on request. Valsaren has a library with books and board games. The shopping streets of central Västerås are a 10-minute walk away, while Västerås Central Station is 5 minutes’ drive from the hotel. Stockholm is about a 1-hour drive away.

“It's a simple hotel, but nice and decent”
They allowed me to check in earlier by leaving the key, it's very nice of them, and I didn't even ask. I liked the desk in the room and the shower products. The location is 10-15 mins of walk from the city centre, but I liked the old industrial area with the local bakery, hamburger restaurant, etc. Also, the guy caring for the hotel was extremely nice and nicer than in many upscale chains. And the breakfast was delicious: good bread and stuffings and the guy made fresh scrambled eggs with a good portion of bacon. The lobby has a coffee machine, vending machine, couches area, tables area, etc. Also, the outdoor space is very cosy. I believe it's a very good option if you need a nice shelter and breakfast not far away from the city centre.

“OK quite place, outside but close to Towncenter”
God place situated a little outside of town center, but still quite close, in walking distance. Nice and Quite, Breakfast basic, but OK. Very nice with fresh Eggs/omelets after your choise and bacon if you like.

“Small family run hotel with good value”
The hotel is cheaper than many options in Vasteras, and although not as comfortable as a Best Western like it is also more affordable. Clean, and still a short walk to the centre of town. Free parking. So OK if you can sacrifice some of the business hotel feel and simply get a room for the night.
