I made a last minute reservation at Happy Buddha and it was a lucky shot! The place was clean and cozy and the staff were really helpful and kind. The location is perfect - not too far from the cliff, but away from the hustle and the bustle. There is also a kitchen, which is a huge bonus. The bed was comfortable and the bed sheets were clean. The rooms were spacious, nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. The common parts were clean with a kitchenette available and a large common area with table tennis, table football and music videos. The owner was very sociable encouraging guests to socialise and was very welcoming The cliff top area is a 10 minute walk, various routes. Would recommend.

Rooms are very good with awesome facilities. You can spend the time on rooftop with lots of books too ❤️ they organise activities almost everyday. Awesome location again just 5min from the beach

“Super friendly atmosphere”

Team is great, Roshan and Rocky, the ones I interacted the most are super kind. Roshan is a great relaxed host and Rocky is very attentive and generous, everyone else from the staff was also super.

The staff and manager where great! Rosh is doing a great job. Great admosphere. And a silent place. They have great activities. We enjoyed the Sitar concert by Pietro on the rooftop :)

Quiet, new building near nature, clean and very very friendly staff and Boss. 7 min walk from the black beach and the cliff area. Great Yoga and dance classes directly on the spot. I highly recommend it. Great value for money.

I really liked how peaceful and well-maintained the place was. The staff were polite, attentive, and always willing to help. The owner was humble and approachable, which made the whole experience feel genuine. The location is perfect, close to the cliff, restaurants, bike rentals, and the auto stand. I also appreciated the yoga sessions and the WhatsApp group that keeps guests updated about local activities, parties, and events. It made me feel connected to what’s happening around Varkala.

The owner was very kind and ready to help with everything. The room was clean and beautiful. The beach, shops, and cafes were nearby.

The Homestay is in a quiet area, near the Cliff. The room is clean and spacious. The staff is welcoming and kind. Roshan is a great host, always available to help you. Nearby is the other Homestay S4, where they provide food and have a beautiful relaxing area at the roof...with ping pong, yogamats etc, where you can freely use it

Wonderful host, Rohan is so helpful and responsive. I really loved my stay here, a bit apart from the busy center but still 10min walk from the beach, peaceful, clean. I'd come back for sure if I pass by Varkala.
