“Beautiful hotel and location with excellent staff and food”

We loved our stay at Hotel Kamelo. Sofia and her team were so incredibly welcoming and kind. The cleaning staff work very hard to keep the place spotless, we also availed of the laundry service and it was all so efficient. We arrived in the evening and they kept the restaurant open so that we could have dinner, which was much appreciated. The view of the beach from the room was absolutely beautiful, and the beach itself is stunning with crystal water. Vari is small but has enough for a short stay - a few restaurants (the hotel one is very good) and a couple of shops within walking distance. We didn’t avail of the bus service to Ermoupoli because they were infrequent during low season, but the taxi service was fine. We liked that the many cats around seem well looked after and we happily contributed to the little donation box at reception. Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and attentive staff, and beautiful views as you eat.

The hotel is extremely clean and you feel like at home! Housekeeping was awasome ! Just on the best beach of the island. Restaurant quality and prices so balanced. Breakfast is good and various enough.

Best place ever?! The staff was super sweet, the location is the best beach in the area, the food is delicious. We had the BEST VACATION OF OUR LIFE! Everything was beyond stellar.

Great hotel with lovely hosts in Sofia, Alex and Helen. Well equipped and good sized rooms with everything you could need! Very nice food available on the spot and a small shop close by for anything else. Probably the nicest beach one the island!

From the very first moment we arrived, we felt completely welcomed and cared for – almost as if we were visiting family rather than staying at a hotel. Sophia, our host, is truly one of the warmest, kindest, and most attentive people we have ever met. Her genuine kindness and outstanding hospitality made our stay unforgettable – she anticipated our needs before we even had to ask. Breakfast was a real highlight every morning: so much variety, freshly baked goods, plenty of options for everyone, and even lactose-free and gluten-free products specially prepared for my wife. On the day of our excursion, Sophia thoughtfully arranged breakfast boxes for us to take with us, which made us feel so cared for. The hotel restaurant deserves a special mention as well. The food was simply wonderful – traditional Greek cuisine and also seafood, rich flavors, and authentic recipes. We tried food all over the island, but always found ourselves happily returning to the hotel’s restaurant, because it truly stood out for both quality and taste. Our room was spotless every day – quite impressive given how much sand you naturally bring in from the beach. Speaking of the beach, right in front of the hotel we always had comfortable sunbeds waiting for us, which made our days by the sea even more relaxing. What makes this place truly unique is the family-run atmosphere. You can feel the love, warmth, and pride in every detail. Everyone treats you as if you are part of their family, and this genuine connection is something you simply cannot find in larger, commercial hotels. When it was time to leave, it honestly felt like saying goodbye to family members rather than just checking out of a hotel. We left with full hearts, unforgettable memories, and a desire to return. If you are looking for a place where you will be welcomed with open arms, enjoy authentic Greek hospitality, delicious food, spotless comfort, and a true “home away from home” feeling – this is it.

The hotel is right on the sandy beach. The water is shallow and is perfect for families with little children. The personnel were lovely and extremely helpful. Breakfast was also very good.

Kind and welcoming employees Rooms are always clean The hotel is located just in front of a wonderful beach. Sunbeds and umbrellas are provided free of charge for guests staying at the hotel. The restaurant of the hotel offers a wide variety of traditional dishes, all well cooked and delicious.
