“We enjoyed five days at Meieriet and hope to come back”

Meieriet in Vardø was once again a fine experience. Nice big room with private bath, fridge in the room and good beds and seating. Jonny and Dawn are very friendly and accommodating, creating a cozy atmosphere in the restaurant, where breakfast and a few, well-prepared dinner dishes are served. We enjoyed the stay and hope to come back soon.

The location was great, the room had all the amenities we had expected, the host was very friendly and the breakfast was superb. 😊

“Perfect rest at Meijeriet”

Easy to find, great location, plenty of free road side parking, tidy, such a friendly service, bed is soooo comfy and breakfast worth every penny. Home like atmosphire.

Great hotel with large spacious room, convenient to have refrigerator in room for lunch foods, comfortable double bed, lot of parking on street. Great location for exploring Varanger including a tour out to seabird colonies at Hornøya. Good locations for bird-watching on north and south ends of the island within walking distance. Friendly staff with options to buy breakfast.

Don't be fooled by the exterior (a bit run down) but the inside is really fantastic. The room was big and super comfortable, with a kettle and a fridge! Rally big bathroom. The bad was comfortable and i slept like a log. Unfortunate the restaurant was closed, but the host offered to cook just for me!

“Cool place to stay!”

We liked the style, the relaxation, the cleanliness and the tranquility of the place. The accommodation had everything we needed and we enjoyed our stay very much.

This is a classic rustic guest house with extremely nice and welcoming owners. Loved it.

“Warm and Cozy”

It's warm and homey. Breakfast and dinner were good and healthy. The host and hostess were kind and willing to answer questions.

Sadly there was no hairdryer and even in June it was too cold to dry naturally outside!

Friendly and super nice staff. Great food. If you are visiting Vardø for bird-watching, it's only 5 minutes away from the boat and info center.

Friendly efficient staff. We had a lovely large room with a four poster bed.

Meieriet was absolutely fantastic! The hosts are absolutely lovely, very helpful and accommodating. The food was delicious and filling. Truly a gem of a place, and if I ever re-visit Vardø I will definitely stay here again.

It is a place to be in Vardø. The location, food, the rooms. It was a very nice and pleasant stay. The hotel has its own charm. An the owners are fantastic! Always select this hotel when travelling to Vardø.

“Friendly and nice small hotel in center”

Lady of the house was just fantastic! She gave a map and guided to all intetesting places in the island. Absolutely brilliant! All meals served were delicious! The room was nice and modern.

The warmth and generosity of the hosts of this place is just outstanding. Personal and heartly, home cooked breakfast and conversation masters skills of the hosts made it a stay I will not forget. Hope to return soon!

“Good value and food”

Excellent location. Really good breakfast and dinner. The couple running the place are welcoming and nice people that knows a lot about Vardø and the surrounding area. The rom was good sized with a sitting area and a comfortable bed. If ever going back, we will stay again.
