Overview
Only 200 metres from the beach and the Lungomare Europa promenade in Varazze, Hotel Zurigo offers a quality restaurant and air-conditioned rooms. The Zurigo’s classic rooms all have a minibar, a LCD TV and bathroom with hairdryer. Some boast a balcony. Homemade cakes and pastries, but also savoury items feature for breakfast, which is a varied buffet. Ligurian and Mediterranean specialities can be sampled in the restaurant, open for lunch and dinner. Free WiFi is provided in public areas. It is very clean and well-equipped. It really offers great value for money. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for accommodation in this price range. The staff is also very nice and helpful, even if you don't speak Italian. They speak English at the reception. They also have a beautifully renovated pool area, which is great. There is a little corner where you can use a microwave, and there is also a water dispenser. The location isn't the most beautiful, but honestly, I don't think it's a problem. Obviously, anyone looking in this price range isn't expecting a big luxury hotel. But in return, you can park on the street for free, and the center is only about a 10-minute walk away.

The style of the hotel, the room, very comfy firm mattresses and pillows, the location (close to the beach but also close to the main road), how quiet it was, the view to the see, the friendly family team, the amazing breakfast, the children’s space, the pressure of shower, the smooth late checkin and smooth checkout, the value for money. It was a short trip, but Patrizia, at the reception, was welcoming and friendly. The breakfast was really good with a nice choice of fresh fruit and vegetarian options like plant-based milk etc. Very friendly staff. The room was nicely decorated, comfortable and very clean; equipped with a small fridge and complimentary water. A nice touch! This hotel makes a lot of effort to be eco-friendly!

“One night stop…maybe longer next time.”
We stayed in this lovely little family run hotel a couple of years ago, and had a lovely stay, so it felt right to book again as part of our rail route. Again, it didn’t disappoint. I messaged before to ask about an evening meal, as it was my Husbands birthday. They liaised with me about preferences for food & time, and booked a lovely local restaurant, who sang happy birthday to my Husband. When I explained that we had an early start to catch a train, they ensured that we had breakfast and that a taxi was called to get us to the train station. I wish we’d had more time to enjoy the hotel, and the lovely beaches and promenade.

Staff were brilliant, breakfast was amazing, the room was a little dated but very clean. Hotel is about 5 minutes walk to a beach. We would definitely stay there again.

“Great value”
Great quiet place near the entrance to the city, perfect for a few nights. Room was very good, spatious with one bed in the other room. Breakfast was good, basic but lots of sweet variants.

Very friendly staff and helpful. Good location with parking at very reasonable cost. Room was good size with kettle & tea, coffee etc provided. A bottle of chilled water was provided in fridge and could be refilled with no cost. Breakfast had plenty of choice and was tasty.
