Overview
Located directly on the banks of the Ganges River, the secluded Palace on Steps is only accessible on foot, 10 minutes from the road. It offers a rooftop restaurant, 24-hour room service and free Wi-Fi throughout the entire property. A short 15-minute walk from Golden Temple, the property is 8 km from Varanasi Railway Station and 30 km from Varanasi Airport. There is nothing to like about the property the location is very difficult to reach as no vechile or taxi goes till the hospital and on top of the electricity is a huge problem and WIFI doesnt works properly. The only good thing is you can see the ganges from the balcony which is also common for everyone

“Great location. Very helpful staff.”
The staff couldn't do enough to help. We arranged ahead of time to be met outside the old town. Three guys turned up and carried our bags through a rabbit warren of lanes and alleyways to get us to the hotel. There was no way we could have found the place ourselves. The restaurant served a very good breakfast and there was an option of sitting inside or out. During the morning it was safer to be inside unless you wanted to share your food with the monkeys. The view of the Ganges river from the balcony was spectacular. Perfect for watching the sunrise with a cuppa.

Fantastic views of the Ganga from my bedroom window overlooking the riverbank. Very close to the main ghat where all the action is. Lots of boat trips within minutes of leaving the hotel. Unforgettable sunsets. See the real India. Really lovely staff who go out of their way to help you. Lovely rooftop restaurant with good food at reasonable prices.

“Fantastic location and unique historical palace stay in Varanasi”
The Kashi Suite was remarkable - like staying in a palace from another era. From the domed bedroom with circular bed and multiple windows giving direct views of the Ganges - it was our air conditioned sanctuary from the chaos below! Highly recommended. We ate several times at the in-house restaurant and loved every meal. Butter chicken and paneer with peas both stand outs. Buffet breakfast was substantial with good variety each day with both Indian and continental options. Staff were friendly, very well informed and made organising boat trips and taxis a breeze. We loved our stay. Varanasi is the most amazing city and the Kashi suite was an integral of our enjoyment of this unique experience.

Zigzag ways to reach the hotel. .Block B is new and risky to step to 1st floor as there is no railing yet installed. .Restaurant is in another block..system of commission is everywhere.staffs are helpful to carry your luggages..overall experience is good

Warm and welcoming staff. Very close to the ghats. Good food at the restaurant. Safe for solo female traveller. Very happy with 11 days at this hotel.

“Amazing staff and great location”
The location is really great, just a few minutes from the ghats. The staff was extremely helpful - they were very attentive to all our questions and helped us in everything we asked for. We felt really welcomed and cared for. They helped us to organise the boat trip, taxi to/from train station, trip to Sarnath. We can say we can recommend this hotel, especially we liked our room at the top floor, so that we could step out and see the Ganges.

Amazing, breathtaking view to the river Ganges ! Spectacular location ! Incredible stuff. The owner is extremely helpful and kind ! Believe me, 10 points is just not enough for Dwivedi Palace !
