“Okayish. Little overpriced.”

Overpriced room. Staircase was steep. Window in room was mostly of no use. Way to the guest house could have been little cleaner.

I liked the friendliness of our Hosts and the breakfast.

Banaras homestay is just that , Naveet & Krishna make you feel like your at home 🫶 they are so accommodating , want you to be safe and have fabulous knowledge of the area . The location is amazing and facilities are clean , comfortable and it’s quiet It’s extremely good value for money and I highly recommend staying here 😊

I had a really nice stay at this hostel. The overall experience was smooth and comfortable, and a big part of that was the great service. Naveen, in particular, stood out—he was incredibly helpful, kind, and attentive. The hostel also offers boat rides at a very reasonable price, which was a great bonus and definitely worth trying. Another highlight was their laundry service—we used it during our stay, and everything came back clean and well taken care of, which made things quite convenient. Overall, a great place to stay with outstanding service and useful amenities. Would definitely recommend!

The rooms were really clean and quiet, the beds comfortable and staff amazing. The breakfast was so good! There is a really friendly vibe here and they make such an effort to make everyone feel welcome and looked after.

Owners are nice and helful. The place is in a back alley, short walk from assi ghat. They have a rooftop where they serve a full breakfast in the morning and where you can meet other travellers. I recommend.

The exceptional hospitality made my stay relaxed, safe and comfortable. The kindness, generously and patience of the Naveen and Krishna made me feel welcomed and cared for. Nothing was too much to ask. The location for me was perfect - away form noise and crowds, but close to Assi Ghat and a decent selection of cafes and street food. I highly recommend the Benares Paying Guesthouse, and would definitely return

Our stay was unexpectedly extended due to illness, and Krishna and Naveen supported us as much as they could during that time. We’re very grateful for their help and kindness. We only wish we had been able to fully enjoy Varanasi and the rooftop. Thank you both again for your care and support.

“Nice stay, good location”

Kind people who are running the guest house, preparing breakfast each day from 09-10 am. The room was clean and the location is great! They also offer cheap and quick laundry service. Besides that, they can help you arrange a yoga, music or cooking lesson for a good price.

“Home in Varanasi”

Naveen and Krishna are locals from very long time, they can told you what to do or where to go but at the same time you have freedom to explore, we feel like home, they put a lot of effort and heart in the details, great place to stay very close to Assi Ghat.

Best hotel in Assi Ghat. The guys are funny and very welcoming.

The owners try to help with everything. We stayed in two rooms, one upstairs with a balcony and one downstairs by the reception. The upstairs room was clean, and the bedding was spotless. Unfortunately, the downstairs room wasn't so clean. There's no phone reception in the downstairs room, and no Wi-Fi with a signal. The room rates are reasonable, but the laundry service is a major drawback. 900 rupees for a laundry bag is a steal; it's a shame we didn't ask before doing the laundry. Overall, it's an acceptable hotel, but avoid the extra services.

“Great location, excellent breakfast”

Location close to Assi Ghat was great, room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast was such a social experience up on the rooftop and also delicious. We really enjoyed our stay here and mrt knew friends.

The owners are very welcoming and the location is great for morning ceremony at Assi Ghat. Rooms were clean. They arranged convenient airport pickup

“Favourite guesthouse so far”

Amazing guesthouse and wonderfull owners!

Had an excellent stay at Banaras Guest House. Rooms are basic but fine, excellent location 2 minutes walk away from Assi Ghat. Breakfast was great. The best part of the experience is Naveen and Krishna’s hospitality. Nothing is too much trouble and they helped me and my friend with everything we needed. We were always greeted with a smile and a laugh. Thank you for making our stay in Varanasi so special.

Navi and krishna the brothers that run the guest house looked after us so well on our trip to varanassi and made it feel like our home away from home....such great vibes ...we were 2 women travelling from Ireland,not only did we have a great laugh with the guys but they couldn't have been more helpful arranging boat tours,booking buses and trains for us,showing us around assi ghat ...they truly made our stay while visiting varanasi ....I cant recommend this place enough to stay....🙏

“Calm within the chaos”

I loved the location - sitting on the roof top eating breakfast or looking at the Ganges from the top roof. I loved Krishna and Naveen who were the hosts - they were super genuine and kind. It was a lovely chilled location to return to after the madness of Varanasi. It's also in a great part of the city with its own Aarti, cafes, restaurants and cool shops which always felt like I was returning home. They also arranged morning boats on the Ganges for us and other treats. I also met some people who were travelling too at the hostel and we all hung out and went on a day trip together.
