Located off the E20 just 6 km outside Vara, this modern motel is one of Sweden’s oldest. Wi-Fi is free, and all rooms have a TV and a private bathroom. Motoristen’s simple yet fresh rooms feature modern décor, wooden floors and a writing desk. The restaurant at Motel Motoristen mainly focuses on wholesome traditional Swedish food, though Thai and fish dishes are also served. Free private parking is available on site, while a petrol station is located right next to Motoristen. Skara Sommarland Aqua Park is 40 minutes’ drive away.

“Great!”
Location good, but only accessible from the main road (although from both directions, so no problem). Rooms were clean and tidy, toilet and shower worked well. Parking was excellent as it was just outside our room and under a roof. Breakfast good with lots of tea!

Friendly morning staff, clean and comfortable and the most affordable fortune family of five. No five star hotel, but for what it is, it’s excellent
