Overview
A short walk from the ferry terminal and 2 km from the historice centre of Vannes, the Mercure Vannes Le Port boasts a modern and unique façade and south-facing rooms with en suite. Some of the soundproofed guest rooms have a view of the Gulf of Morbihan. The hotel features a brasserie with patios, La Brasserie Edgar, serving traditional French cuisine and a selection of fresh seafood. Other activities available in the proximity of the hotel include billiards, bowling, canoeing and walking. As it is close to the harbour, the hotel is also close to the landing pier, where boats depart to the islands of the Gulf of Morbihan. Vannes TGV train station is 3 km from the hotel. 2 charging stations for electric cars are available at the hotel entrance. In the summertime, a bus operates between the hotel and the city centre.

Room comfortable. The brasserie was good. When we arrived (2.30pm) there was no food available, and the nearby pub had stopped serving food. Staff very pleasant. Ambiance of reception was good, and car parking was fine

“Good stopover with a spacious room, secure parking and friendly staff”
The room was a great size for a couple plus two children. The sofa bed pulled out into a king size and they also provided a cot. Even with all the beds, there was still loads of space to move around. It was also great to have a separate loo from the main bathroom. The hotel let my husband store his bike in their basement. The town centre was a short drive away and the carparks are free on a Sunday. In the evening, we drove 5 minutes to the nearby village of Conleau and had some lovely food and drinks in a beautiful setting with fab staff!

I did not appreciate being chased by Booking.com to pay the bill which I had paid on leaving the hotel. This was due to poor communication by the desk staff. A little thought and checking would have been wise before assuming the customer had 'done a runner'.

“Great Stay”
The hotel is situated in a great area. Walking distance to the piers where the ferries to the isles depart and also close to Vannes. Very good breakfast, clean and spacious rooms, air-con. Lovely personnel. We enjoyed our stay very much.

The staff at Reception was very nice, polite and accommodated us when we asked for a travel cot. He brought it to our room and made our stay a lot easier as a family. The room was spacious for the 4 of us and very comfortable. This was our first trip in a hotel as a family and after this positive experience, we will be happy to do it again!
