Let me tell you, this place is fantastic. Really fantastic. Tremendous people running it. Good people, the best people. You walk in and you know right away: very well run, very smart. Location is prime. Absolutely prime. Right in the center, near all the action with restaurants, activity, everything, yet somehow very quiet. Very hard to do. They did it. Shoes off at the entrance, which I like. Very classy. Very clean. No dirty shoes walking around. Smart move. Food nearby is incredible. Great restaurants, high-quality food everywhere. And listen to this, Big C convenience store right across the road. Couldn’t be easier. Very convenient. People love convenience. The room is beautiful. Great color scheme. White walls, green doors, even the bathroom door is green. Tasteful , very tasteful. And the lighting is very smart. You have a couple of different light options. One switch gives you full lighting, bright, powerful, lights everything up. Another switch controls a single lampshade directly in front of the bed. Much dimmer. Very intimate lighting. Great for relaxing. They thought about it. The bed? One of the best beds in Southeast Asia, believe me. We’ve stayed in many places, many beds but this one is top tier. Pillows were perfect. Not too big, not too small, just right. Unlike Luang Prabang, where the pillows were huge, frankly out of control. These were excellent. They give you large towels, and not those tiny towels some places give you, very annoying. Powerful shower. Rain shower and a removable shower head. Very strong water pressure. You feel clean. Very important. Room service is available, but they don’t force it on you. I like that. Freedom of choice. Strong breakfast. Lots of options, noodles, eggs, pancakes. There is something for everyone. Pool table at reception too. Nice touch. People enjoy that. They helped us book a tour to Blue Lagoon, Zipline. Half day or full day tours available. Very efficient. No stress.
