A lovely hotel which has been looked after very well. A lot of character, exactly as expected. Loved it's position by the water, close to restaurants and bus service to everywhere. The restaurant in the hotel is lovely.

We had an excellent stay. The location is amazing....best in the city. Had a drink in the bar downstairs while listening to live music and watching the sunset, it was a perfect evening.

The location is perfect, lovely break from the big city but still within close proximity to many amenities! Lovely vintage rooms and very comfy!

“A lovely stay”

A lovely, comfortable and characterful hotel with an interesting history in a great location. All the staff that we encountered were pleasant, friendly and helpful. The restaurant and bar where we enjoyed breakfast & dinner were comfortable & had great views of the bay. Our room was clean & comfortable as was the large room used by our Son's family - their young children and their dog were also made welcome. All in all, an enjoyable stay!

A lovely traditional hotel with history, in an excellent location. The staff were helpful and very pleasant. The room was clean & the beds were comfy. Both children and dog were made welcome. All in all, we really enjoyed our stay

We had a lovely stay. The restaurant was great and we really enjoyed the live music. The location is fantastic, and having on-site parking made things very easy. We also loved the old-style key for our room — such a charming touch — and the convenience of leaving it with reception while we were out.

The team was very friendly and helpful. We booked 2 stays, arrived early for both, and were able to access our room before check-in. The staff also stored some luggage for us when we were between stays.
