We had booked two junior suites facing the sea. To cut a long story short, the service on the desk when we arrived was unacceptable. The hotel was overbooked but the person on the desk would not admit it and insisted that we were in the wrong and he wanted to downgrade the two women in our party to a standard room overlooking the road. After a lot of argument, we were eventually given a room facing the sea but not the suite we had booked. The deputy manager Mohammed handled the situation well the next morning and apologised on behalf of the hotel.

“An enjoyable and relaxing stay.”
Our room was spacious, comfortable, quiet and very clean, with great views overlooking the lake. Staff were excellent, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was of a high standard, buffet style with a wide range to choose from and served on ground floor overlooking Lake Van. We also had dinner twice, which was delicious and reasonably priced. The hotel is on the outskirts of Van and easy to navigate to, with parking in front of the hotel. We found it to be ideally located to explore Van and the surrounding area. Van castle and town centre is a 15 minute drive away.

“Very attentive staff and nice, clean rooms”
Everything was great. Very warm staff. Since I have celiac disease, they provided me with gluten-free bread for breakfast and informed me about dishes that might contain gluten.

“The best hotel in Van!”
We had a fantastic stay at Ramada Van! The hotel is located on the shores of the Van Lake and offers its guests the most amazing view ever! It is about 13 km far from the city center, which can be easily reached by taxi or public transport. We used the Van Bus App to track the bus in real time. The hotel also organizes private tours to the various touristic points, which we highly appreciated. The facilities and rooms are spotless clean and well-kept. The hotel offers non-smoking rooms; fast internet connection; and quiet air conditioner - although we preferred to open the window and enjoy the fresh air and the fantastic lake view! All staff members were very attentive, efficient, and friendly. Breakfast was full of fresh and delicious typical Turkish specialties, including a great assortment of Van cheese, warm dishes, breads, patisserie, and fruits. Everything about the hotel was exceptional! We would like to thank all staff members for their kindness and hospitality and hope to stay at Ramada Van in the very near future.

“Well run hotel and value for money”
Very efficiently run hotel. The room was spacious and the bed comfortable. The breakfast was good and the menu for dinner reasonably priced.
