“Rather dissapointing”

Great to go for skiing or hiking, embedded in beautiful landscape I Nice staff, especially the hotel manager. Only a 15-minutes uphill walk away from Valmorel and regular free public transport shuttles.

The hotel is easy to find and has ample free parking (but make sure you follow the signs - we missed one and thought we could get to the hotel from the back. You can but it will probably be the steepest road you will ever drive up). We were greeted very warmly by Dana (hope that’s the correct spelling) who speaks excellent English. The rooms are spacious, quiet and very comfortable. The restaurant serves excellent food at a reasonable price.

We came here for a few days to watch the Tour de France. Pleasantly surprised that the shops, bars restaurants in Valmoral were open in July. Because the weather wasn't as good as we had hoped our host suggested a trip up the mountain and a walk to the Col de la Madeleine which was a good day out and was quite an effort. We had dinner and drinks on the first evening, but ate out the other two nights. Breakfast was good and we were offered eggs on our final morning.

Convenient location to the bus stop for a short ride to the village to go skiing. Breakfast supplied although average.

Everything. The staff were amazing. Were arrived late and hadn't booked a meal but they went out of their way to feed us a full 3 course meal which included a beer, a large beer. The rooms were clean and spacious, beds very comfortable and the view was second to few.

Hotel is very nice, high up in the mountains, close to the ski slopes (if you go in the winter, that is a big plus). Hosts were very friendly and helpful! They managed to change our rooms to better fit our needs (we were 6 guys, needed separate beds, they made that happen). I recommend you also have dinner in the hotel's restaurant! Food is very good and plentiful! We really enjoyed our stay!

“Just wonderful!”

The hotel manager and his wife are very friendly and do everything to make you feel at home. We had the best time to de-stress. The half board option is great. The breakfast and food is very nice. Wine is included in the half board. Very good value for money! The location up in the valley is very good. We were there for the hiking. Beautiful surroundings. Beautiful hiking trails and views on views on views! On a clear day you see Mont Blanc. The adventure card from the tourist information for a week is very good, the cable cars/lifts , some activities and the swimming pools are included. The lifts are good to take you up the mountains for hiking.

“nothing expected and finally a great stay”

On the road back from a 8 days trip in Italy/South of France. That was the best price/value of the trip. It is not a 4 stars hotel but the owners' attention make it a bit like one.

The host are very nice . Breakfast it’s yummy and the view of the mountains are very pretty if you get the right room with balcony.

Really friendly, comfortable, welcoming hotel just on the outskirts of Valmorel. Congenial, cosy bar area, nice room with a view of the mountains and a very good shower. Breakfast was excellent and the owners could not have been more helpful - phoning several local restaurants on our behalf to make a dinner booking and very kindly starting breakfast a bit early to make sure we could eat before our early departure.

very pleasant staff, the hotel is located on a mountain with a beautiful view, it is nice that there was a tea room, tea and coffee in the room. Very good breakfast.
