“Well appointed apartment in a perfect location.”

Location next to gondola and vallorcine locaski ski hire is perfect. Vallorcine is a beautiful village with lots of hiking, limited facilities in village itself but Argentiere is only 10 mins drive away (it would be possible to holiday here car free with a little bit of extra planning as train station is next door). Apartment is located within a holiday complex with pool, spa (sauna and steam room) and small gym. Restaurant not open this season due to staff shortages, but fresh bread/croissants delivered daily. Melissa was a helpful host who has provided a well equipped apartment- self catering is eminently doable with good hob/oven/microwave and cooking utensils. Lovely views from balcony up the valley towards Switzerland, can watch the sun rise over the mountains.

The apt was lovely - very clean and comfortable and the welcome pack was lovely - we also really appreciated the extras offered by the private hosts - thank you - the location is perfect for skiing . We love dormio and are return visitors as it offers everything for an enjoyable ski holiday

“Excellent week”

Brilliant stay from start to finish. We drove from UK. Stopped and did a weekly shop en-route. The drive isn't bad because Vallorcine is quite low we didn't have to worry about bad road conditions. Parked car in secure underground car park. Collected keys to apartment, collected ski hire from shop adjacent to apartments (make sure you choose the correct shop). Dumped all our stuff in the rooms and the ski equipment in the secure locker room. Bathroom, with seperate toilet and en-suite shower room is very handy. The kitchen is compact, but well equipped (remember to bring filter papers for the coffee machine!) and open plan to the lounge. We moved a couple of chairs into the bedrooms for more space. The balcony if huge, the sound of the river running is lovely. Went for a swim in the pool (magnificent views of mountains), then went for dinner in the restaurant (not great for vegetarians, but the food is very good). Next morning we jumped on the train outside and went to La Poya so the kids could get used to skiing again. They had a 2 hour refresher lesson. After that, we jumped on the bubble lift outside the hotel at 9 every morning and skied excellent pistes until the last bubble back down (the red run return to the hotel was closed). Did this every day. There is a good bakery in the town, couple of decent eateries.
