Turmhotel Gschwendt is a classic Alpine hotel boasting panoramic views of the Puster Valley region. Located 7 km from Monguelfo Train Station, it offers traditional rooms with a balcony. Breakfast at the family-run Gschwendt is a buffet featuring a range of local produce. The cosy restaurant with wood panelled walls is open for afternoon tea, and à la carte evening meals. During the winter, the hotel offers ski storage facilities. The nearest ski run is Cole, just 1.5 km away. The slopes at Santa Madalena, part of the Dolomites Superski / Alta Pusteria Plan de Corones Ski Zone, can be reached in under 30 minutes by car. Rooms at the Gschwendt include satellite TV and private bathroom with hairdryer and toiletries. Some rooms have parquet floors. The bus to the train station stops 500 metres from the hotel.

“A lovely hotel which we would recommend”
The hotel is lovely and absolutely immaculate. The staff were all helpful. The young lady who was working in the dining room for dinner was lovely and did such a good job. Our room was large, clean and comfortable. Dinner was delicious and more than generous. Breakfast was good, but didn’t really cater much to non Europeans (not a complaint, it is to be expected, but just something to be aware of if you are not from Europe.)

Very cute, old style hotel run by a family. The staff were very kind. The room was spacious and very clean! We could eat out breakfast and dinner in the bar with our dog. On the weekend, the bar transforms into a gathering place for the locals to play card games and catch up with friends - this was very charming. We had half board with our room and had a 4-course dinner every day. The food was cooked in a homely manner and was very tasty! My advice for people with specific dietary requirements is to let the hotel know I’m advance, because they offer a fixed menu for dinner.

“Perfect location, lovely accommodation, very relaxed stay, no pressure from staff”
The property is very traditional to the region, typical interior style, wood furnishings, very pretty. I had a bedroom overlooking the valley with a balcony, lovely to have the morning sun. The bed was very comfortable and the bedroom and bathroom were very clean. The restaurant served very good food, evening meal and buffet breakfast. The staff were very attentive and relaxed. The location is ideal for exploring the surrounding area
