Very nice breakfast, it’s been a great stay in Valle de Bravo

Alfonso was a most welcoming host, very friendly and willing to give advice and tips on things to see. He also cooks tasty, filling breakfasts. The position is great, 3 minutes' walk from the main square but in a quiet spot.

Hostal el Alebrije is a wonderful place to stay - the rooftop is beautiful and they have everything you need there, and they keep the place super clean. But most of all, the staff and volunteers that work there are so warm, friendly and caring. You can tell they really care about making their guests feel welcome and safe and I had such a lovely time here, would highly recommended! The rooftop is beautiful and there are social activities (from film screenings to karaoke) every night if you want to join in. The staff are also so helpful with tips about the local area and the location is perfect.

Staff was super cool and the place was nice and comfy. Great breakfasts as well :)

“New Year's Eve Stay: Vibrant, Welcoming, Unforgettable”

1) 2-5 min walk to the Centro and around lots of good cafes 2) 7-10 min walk from the famous Lake 3) budget Friend Most Important: I went on 31 Dec 2024 to celebrate a nice small New Year's Eve and to my surprise, the Hostal owner Carlos surprised all of us with a small party with lots of food, drinks and music. It was very touching and even we all had a nice talk till late at night about local culture and about Valle de Bravo

- A great laidback option to stay in Valle de Bravo for budget travellers. For the price you pay you receive a rooftop terrace with hammocks and a stunning view and a simple breakfast is included (changes each day, quesadillas and molletes were what was on the menu for my stay). - Well equipped kitchen for self catering. - Well located with grocery stores, market and dining options nearby. - Beds have a light and conveniently placed power outlet. - Lockers available (large enough for valuables but not for locking away bag).

Perfect location right in the centre of town with a cute little Rooftop terrace and all amenities you could expect of a hostel for a good price.

Great location. Friendly staff. Very tiny hostel, though kitchen n public space is small, but the vibe is good. Only two bathrooms, need to wait in the morning, but not a big problem. Value for money

“Booked for 2 nights, stayed for a week”

Really good breakfast, different every day. Unlimited supply of spare blankets for cold days. A bit cramped but not uncomfortable. All its little shortcomings are negligible because the staff, led by the incomparable Su, are some of the best out there. They give the hostel a great social vibe and help organise your stay in VdB.

It's a really nice hostel. Because it's so cosy it's perfect to socialize. Everything is nearby and the view from the terrace is amazing ❤️
