Nice cabins in Anton Valley. So peaceful and calm. You can listen (also maybe see) many birds around. The staff was super nice they even helped me with laundry services during my stay - thanks I do really appreciate it

“Great value at a quiet beautiful location”

The quiet location with views into the rainforest. Lots of hummingbirds during breakfast on the terrace and generally great bird watching from there. The family who runs the hotel is very engaged and really makes you feel welcome! They cook well and you can eat there almost at any time during the day and evening at a very reasonable price. It’s a kind of agrotourism as they have their own animals and the eggs during breakfast come right from their farm.

A little bit away from touristic places, so now crowds, which we appreciated much. The staff helped us a lot - it was the best in the whole holidays.

We spent 3 nights at the Refugio with my family ( 3 adult children) and my brother's (3 children and a pet). We were very appreciative of the very warm welcome and family atmosphere. Excellent wifi that was highly appreciated by everyone. We could have our laundry done and use the dining area to play boardgames. The breakfast was excellent and prepared with their own chicken eggs, fruit, and Venezuelan specialties. We also enjoyed one very nice dinner at the Refugio. It is ideally located.

“Booking confirmation doesn’t guarantee a room!”

Shittiest experience ever, arriving at this hotel at a normal check-in time at 6pm to find that they had given our room away to someone else without notifying us. Our booking on booking.com was still confirmed, they hadn't cancelled it and the last message we got from them was a day before, saying the booking was confirmed. On arrival the receptionist lied to us and said they had texted us on a couple of hours ago and asked us to pay in advance. We never received a text and even if we had, it is shitty to cancel a booking on the day when the whole of El Valle is completely booked out. If you want to make sure you get your confirmed room, make sure you arrive in the morning or don't bother booking at all as they will give your room to someone else with cash in hand without notifying you or cancelling the booking (because that would probably cost them...)!

It’s a cosy cabin surrounded by nature!

Very cute little houses, and very very friendly staff. Location is a bit out of town so you’ll need a car to get there. The rooms itself are a bit outdated and could use some upgrading, but all in all it’s fine for a short stay. Lots of birds to spot!

An awesome place if you like nature and if you want a place that got lots of good hiking close by! The setting is beautiful Right at the foot of the Cara Iguana mountain and only a couple kilometers from India Dormida Mountain . Its close enough to the town you can walk there. The staff was great, very friendly and make you feel at home, and they knew how to cook ! We really enjoyed the three days we spent here.

The host Naudi is very friendly and makes a lot of effort. Always ready to help and provided a lot of Information about activities/hikes closeby. The room has air condition, the bathroom is simply furnished but clean.
