“Disasterous windy night”

The host was great, location was good, the shared kitchen and TV room was awesome. The town is the cleanest place in all of Panama, there is not a speck of garbage anywhere.

The host is a lovely guy, he was super friendly and helpful! He was also in for a fun jam session :D

La Casita de Don Daniel is the most endearing place I have stayed during two months of travel. Simply delightful location beside a stream in a sweet neighbourhood at the foot of the La India Dormida trail, with nearby amenities, and the most gracious and attentive of hosts, Ariel and Music.

“Quiet space for people that like there peace and love nature”

The host Arial and his dog Muisik where the nicest and I really felt like home. I was able to dip into the river behind the house and play there with Muisik. Ariel gave me a lot of tips, offered me coffee and shared hier space like i was family. The Room did'nt have a nice view, but the nicest sounds of a river and birds.

It’s a lovely spot with a beautiful garden and lots of different spaces to relax. The kitchen is large and has everything you need (except a toaster). Ariel the owner was very engaging and helpful and gave us a lift to the bus stop when we left. The Casita is very close to the Sendero La India Dormida and a 15 minute walk into town. There are bicycles to borrow for free which is also great. The room is small but with wardrobe space. The bed is comfortable. The bathroom is basic but it does have hot water in the shower.

The owner is such a good man. He gives good advice, gave a jam with his friends in the night which we could attent and gave massages for a good price himself. The place is nearby the entrance of one hike.

The host (Adiel) is super kind, he has a really sweet dog that doesnt bark and the rooms are clean. Adiel let us use his bikes and gave us a ride to the bus station when we left. It's located next to a nice trail.

We found a true Home away from home and Ariel became a friend. He helped us a lot. He created a calm and a beautiful spot with the Casita Don Daniel. It's unique. We plan to come back and would highly recommend a stay at this place. Good located at hiking spots, shops close by. Bikes available and comfy Hammocks. And there is a very lovely cat in the nice garden area, which we already miss a lot. Thank you Ariel!

Everything was amazing. The best hostel we stayed in, in Panama. It was really close to a trail called camina India Dormida. There is an option of borrowing a bike for free so you can go to the center. Mr Daniel was very sweet and super helpful. Overall atmosphere felt like home, there are books you can borrow, nice background music also there was a guitar and a piano that you can play. Beautiful interior and outside as well. Kitchen was perfectly equipped. There is also a shop nearby (a few meters). We cannot express how amazing our experience was. Thank you!

“Welcoming hostel with massages”

Amazing friendly and welcoming host. Ariel really made our stay special, he even helped us prepare my son's birthday and sang him a birthday song. Ideal location for the hike to India dormida. The garden is very relaxing as well as Ariel's massages.

Great location right near the trail head of La India Dormida. The owner Ariel went out of his way to make us feel at home and make our travels easy. He is probably the most hospitable host we have ever encountered in our travels. He met us in town at the bus stop and offered to drop us off at the bus stop when we were leaving. He is very knowledgeable about the town and activities, and loves to share music and stories. The communal spaces are very homely, there is a big backyard space and a river alongside the property.

The place is amazing and Ariel the host the best. He does everything he can to make you feel at home even sharing is home. We loved the music instruments and art everywhere. Even playing music on our last evening together.

Ariel is a very great guy and made us really feel welcome. He always is willing to help, even if you don't ask. The hostel has nice shared areas such as the kichen, living room and a garden with hammocks. We loved our stay in this hostel and this town! There are beautiful hikes nearby as well.
