“Charming hostel stay with family vibes”

The owners were so lovely and helpful (and genuine), going above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay, as well as giving us a heap of tips and local insights. The home made breakfasts each morning were absolutely delicious. We booked one of the private rooms which had everything we needed, super comfortable and spacious. The little details were considered too like having usb sockets next to the beds. The shower was nice and hot too. Location is also excellent.

“Excellent stay at Casa Xtakay — very convenient”

Super location, excellent homemade breakfast served by the hosts, great recommendations to go around and avoid the crowds. 2 minutes walking from the main park where the action begins. We had a great room with terrace and private bathroom, very spacious. We saw squirrels, possums and iguanas from our terrace. Also owners have 3 lovely dogs and chickens. Free parking There is also a dentist inside the casa, he is the son of the owner. Lots of plants all around the place, very nice and refreshing.

“Peaceful and helpful stay”

This hostel was calm, clean and was fun by a Mexican family who cooked typical breakfasts each morning and I enjoyed chatting with them (they spoke English too incase that's a concern) There weren't lots of other guests so I enjoyed a room to myself which was a nice way to decompress and it still felt easy to meet people in other ways. Comfy bed!

We had a very nice stay in this lovely hostel. Luis was a really kind guest, very welcoming. The hostel is very well located, confortable and has everything we could ask for!

Owner is an absolute legend, extremely knowledgeable (gave excellentfood recs), helpful, friendly, organized. Amazing breakfast cooked by his parents. Booked our tours here too. Could not be more happy with the experience.

Very nice hostel with homemade breakfast (yukatenian dishes, pancakes etc), friendly staff and superb location. There was AC, purified water and coffee available. Convenient free street parking

“Wonderful hotel in the heart of Valladolid”

Large clean room, beautifully decorated with access to a large terrace. Location was right at the city centre with easy parking outside the property. They have a wonderful garden to enjoy breakfast. We were treated so well, had that family-run business vibe. We loved the breakfast, simple but well done and cooked the moment you arrive to the kitchen. Had water facilities to refill bottles. This was our best stay in our trip to Mexico, we spent three nights, highly recommended!

“A family run hostel with delicious breakfasts.”

We loved everything about this stay! Luis gave us a friendly welcome with our evening arrival and he was enormously helpful with tips on local trips. The accommodation was spacious, clean, comfortable with open use of the kitchen. Drinking water, tea and coffee were readily available. Gaby, Priscilla and team provided a different local breakfast each morning complete with fresh fruit. These were delicious and generous with their knowledge of the dishes. This is one of the highlights of our time in Yucatán!

“Exactly what we were looking for”

Juan and his family are so nice. They will help you with everything. The breakfast is homemade and different everyday. The location is really great, in the center of Valladolid, with a cute and quiet garden. The fact that we can rent scooter directly with Juan was so helpful! Thank you for everything.

The staff were so lovely and helpful with recommending places to go, even which ATMs are cheapest. It's literally bang in the centre of town as well and free parking in the streets :) nice kitchen and quiet cosy rooms

“Best value stay in Valladolid”

Perfect location, breakfast, and owners. We were a short walk away from anything to visit on foot. Breakfast was homemade and consisted of local food which was delicious. The room was clean and comfortable. The best part was the easy scooter rental the hostel provides. We rented one for 2 days to visit Ek Balam, Chichen Itza, and many cenotes. Overall we would gladly stay here again when returning to Valladolid.

Very nice owners, totally helpful, very good english. Great Location. Homemade breakfast. Would stay there again.

Great place to stay in general. Owner is nice, has great experience in travelling and even his own webpage for non-touristy places. Beds are comfy. Every dorm has its own bathroom. Towels are provided. Good common area in the garden to connect. Rents scooters and bikes itself. The owner‘s mother makes tasty and local breakfast everyday.

“Incredibly hospitable hostel with a homestay vibe”

Breakfast was lovely, but the host's attention to detail and providing valuable insight into things to do, see, and eat, were exceptional.

So lovely hostel. You most have the homemade breakfast here. I really enjoyed the time here.
