“Good hotel for the money and location”
The staff were so lovely, particularly one of the guys that worked in the restaurant and made so much effort to be friendly, welcoming and give us loads of information about the local area and things to do etc. One of the nicest guys we’ve ever met. The location of the hotel is also great. We also loved the resident cat

“Nice clean hotel in a great location”
Great location a short walk from the main square. Clean minimalist style rooms with a large bed. Good breakfast where you can order a dish of your choice (with 2 vegan options including an oatmeal or houmous and avo toast, plus almond or coconut milk for coffees). Very helpful staff. The garden & breakfast area was lush, but consider the pool a plunge pool and there's only 2 loungers. Oh and the grey cat was absolutely gorgeous and so friendly!

“Green oasis in Valladolid”
Their breakfast is incredible with a wide choice. The location is unbeatable to visit the center and main sites of Valladolid. The staff was really attentive and polite. We just felt at home.

“Great location for Valladolid stay!”
We had a really great stay at Colonte Hotel Origen for three nights in February 2026. We were upgraded and really enjoyed the room - great shower, bed and nice touches with the hammock and amenities. There is lots of plant and wildlife around, which I loved. The breakfast choice was great. We had a very early start one day and the staff put together a wonderful packed breakfast including drinks. Really great location, walking distance to everything. I would recommend!

“Avoid, loud, cold and no light.”
There were a few good things about this hotel; unfortunately, they were not enough to save our experience, and it was simply terrible. If anything, it's a good location in the city centre, close to all amenities, staff speaks English and is polite, that's about it.

“Spa like hotel in the middle of Valladolid”
We loved the interior of this hotel! It feels like a spa or sanctuary with all the plants. The garden and pool with breakfast are very nice to relax in. The location of the hotel was perfect, everything within walking distance. The room was very comfortable and we loved the shower that could be transformed into an outdoor shower as well. We had a Mexican breakfast and it was delicious, the coffee was also good (we chose filter but they also had latte etc). Also appreciated the nespresso machine in the room.

“A very nice hotel in a perfect location”
Hotel Origen was the perfect location to begin our 3 week holiday on the Yucatan Peninsula. It was an easy walk into the centre and to places of interest and there were many bars and restaurants in the area. It was a perfect location, too, for visiting Chichen Itza which was about a 40 minute drive away. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and offered good advice on where to eat. Our only criticism would be that housekeeping seemed a bit ad hoc, as on arrival, there were no towels in our room and on the second day (of 3) we had to request clean towels, water and replacement coffee pods. It was also unfortunate that during our stay there was intense building work in the adjacent property which made using the dip pool impossible during the day.
