Overview
Set in a traditional building from 1227 facing Lake Valdaora and the Dolomites, Historic Hotel Alte Goste offers a free spa, a 1000-m² garden and a restaurant. It includes free Wi-Fi and mountain bike rental. Facing the mountains or the lake from their balcony or terrace, Alte Goste’s rooms and suites feature modern Alpine-style design with carpeted or wood floors. Featuring a satellite LCD TV, they have a fully equipped bathroom. The breakfast buffet is served also outside and includes cold cuts, cheese and fresh yoghurt, together with homemade cakes and jams. South Tyrol cuisine and Mediterranean recipes can be tasted in the restaurant. Fishing licences are sold on site and hiking tours are organised 3 times a week. You can relax in the warm hay bath, Finnish sauna or solarium, but also book a massage or take a dip in the hot tub. A bike trail connecting to Lienz, in Austria, and Lake Garda starts right outside. During winter the hotel’s free ski shuttle will drop you at the Plan de Corones slopes, an 8-minute drive away.

Family run and all family members and staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Outstanding dinner. Beautiful bedrooms and lounge area. Very quite and scenic location (but you need a car, although hotel will organise a shuttle and provides a regular one in winter)

I loved the location of the hotel, everyone was incredibly helpful and kind - the room was stunning, and the spa was absolutely beautiful. We were there to go to the dolomites, and it really did not dissapoint - recommending to all my friends, who are now very keen to see the dolomites!

“An incredible hotel, we can’t wait to go back!”
We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Alte Goste! The spa facilities are wonderful but the views are even better. The staff were so nice and friendly, nothing was too big of an ask. It was very clean and the room was very comfy. Dinner was exceptional and the service was amazing. It couldn’t have been a better stay!
