Overview
At 1080 metres of altitude, Geniesserhotel Messnerwirt is in the centre of Ober Olang. It features free Wi-Fi and a wellness centre with free Turkish bath and sauna. Each offering a private balcony, the classically decorated rooms are large, and equipped with an LCD TV with satellite channels. Some rooms offer views of Val Pusteria. The wellness centre is complete with a free sauna. A solarium, hot tub, and massage rooms are also available. During winter the Messnerwirt offers a free heated ski deposit with boots warmer. Every 20 minutes the ski bus to the Kronplatz slopes stops outside the hotel. A generous sweet and salted buffet is served daily for breakfast. The property is located directly on the new Val Pusteria mountain-bike track and also has a repairing room for bikes. Outdoor parking is free at the hotel. Garage parking can be booked. There is also a free garage for bikes and motorbikes.

“Friendly, clean and easy to get around on public transport.”
The staff, particularly Daniel for me as his English is excellent, were very friendly and super helpful. He was very chatty and recommended a few places to visit. The surrounding area is very quiet but the free public transport pass was invaluable. It saved me lots of money in parking charges when visiting the lakes. The bus stop is a stones throw from the hotel and the app Daniel told me to download made journeys really easy to navigate.

“Very cozy and bright hotel”
The staff was very carrying and attentive. The facilities were great, so as the meals. I would definitely visit the hotel once again

“Great place with exceptional meals”
Simply great place, highly recommended! It is renowned for exceptional meals - we ended up having there not only breakfast (as initially intended) but also dinner every day. The staff are excellent; their attention to detail (for example, arranging a small surprise for my friend's birthday) made our stay definitely memorable. The rooms are spacious and clean with very comfortable beds. Small but lovely wellness area, atmospheric common area, perfect location... We'll definitely come back if we ever visit Kronberg-area again.
