Excellent guesthouse with delicious traditional homemade dinner and breakfast. Very pleasant atmosphere with nice views of the mountains. Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful home, nice views, good food

What a fabulous stay hosted by the lovely Lola and her mum who couldn’t have been nicer. Delicious food with special effort for our vegan and vegetarian diets. Our best stay in Albania by far!

“Sweet overnight stay”

Lola was incredibly welcoming and friendly, and was a great host. She asked us how our hike was and informed us of conditions for our next day, and prepared us the most wonderful meals (much of which came from her garden, honestly the food was some of the best we had in Albania). The room was comfortable and we had a great night rest before continuing our hike. Wouldn’t hesitate to stay again.

Lola's Guesthouse is the paradise on earth. I want to Point Out especially the cooking skills from Lola. Everything she cooks for you is grown or living in her Garden. Apart from that she ist very cute and friendly

“Best host ever- can’t fault it!”

Lola was so lovely and welcoming incredibly knowledgeable and an amazing chef! Most ingredients were homegrown/made, from the beans, to peppers, butter and cheeses- we ate so well! Rooms were comfy and clean and she lent us jackets for our afternoon walk. Highly recommend this homestay. Only a short 2.5km to trail head.

“Hidden oasis gem in the valley”

Exceptional host, exceptional quality of stay. Lola was incredibly accommodating in helping me plan my trip, despite potentially needing to cancel entirely if I couldn't make the theth-valbona hike. The stay exceeded expectations, food was incredible as was the vibe and atmosphere. Would highly recommend this guesthouse to anyone staying in Valbona. Great value for money, service, cleanliness and general help with everything.

We had an extraordinary stay at Lola's Guesthouse. She as well as her family are incredible hosts, very kind and accomidating. She is also a great chef and serves amazingly tasty traditional dinner and breakfast, most of which is homegrown. The rooms are cosy and clean, ours was on the upper floor so we could sit on the balcony and enjoy the beautiful mountain views. The guesthouse appears to be one of the closest to the Theth-Valbona trail which comes in very handy before or after the hike. Lola was very easy to contact and incredibly helpful even before our arrival. All in all it was easily the guesthouse that we enjoyed most during our two weeks in Albania and would recommend to anyone looking for accomadation in Valbona.

“Heaven is a place on earth”

This guesthouse was a bliss. If there would be a contest for the most friendly and kind person in the world, then Lola would definitely stand a chance of winning. The room and bathroom are basic but comfortable. But what sets this guesthouse apart from the other places we stayed at is incredible hospitality and delicious meals prepared from the products (vegetables, honey, diary, poultry) that they produce themselves. We would definitely stay there again.

Exceptional accomodation. Lola is such a lovely person who wants her guests to feel comfortable. She is also a very talented cook. This guesthouse is very recommended!

Lola & her family were so kind & welcoming! We had a private room with very comfy beds & lots of blankets to keep us warm at night. The wifi also worked great! Lola is incredibly talented and made us the most amazing dinner & breakfast. Everything was made from scratch, including the butter, and used with local ingredients & their garden. We had such an amazing experience at Guesthouse Lola and would most certainly stay here again. Thank you Lola!

“A wonderful home away from home”

This wonderful place lives up to all the other glowing reviews and is one of my favourite ever stays. The guesthouse is set at the back of a long garden a surrounded by fields of crops, with beautiful views of the mountains. We were all made so welcome and the home cooked meals were both generous and delicious, and made with local produce. The rooms are simple but clean and cosy. Lola is such a gifted talented host, and gifted cook, and nothing was too much trouble.

“Perfect”

Honestly, everything was amazing. We stayed at Lolas the night before we hiked to Theth, and from our arrival, the stay was perfect. Lola was so responsive beforehand and was so attentive and thoughtful. The location of the property is amazing, with beautiful gardens and views. All of the food during our stay was incredible and fresh with homegrown/handpicked produce from the garden. I would highly recommend staying here.

This is a gem. Great comfortable and warm beds, very home-like atmosphere, great home-made (and often grown) food, and fantastic owners.

Lola’s place was beautiful and she was an amazing host. After 5 weeks in Europe it has been my partner and I’s favourite place we have stayed. If you’re in Valbona, do yourself a favour and book.

After two weeks on the Peaks of the Balkans trail, we finished our walk at Lola guesthouse and we couldn't choose better accommodation! Lola is very kind and with mom they are doing an amazing job. We had the best food from the whole stay in Albania and we are still dreaming about it. I highly recommend the combination of a beautiful garden, surrounded by mountains, amazing food from local ingredients and a very nice host. What an amazing experience!

Our one night stay at Lola Guesthouse was amazing. She’s so kind and caring. We had delicious good from her garden made by herself and her mother. The room was very comfy and the view was picturesque. If your’e searching for the place, look for the house with all the beautiful flowers;)
