Great location, our hosts were lovely and helpful and the sceneries are stunning

“Gorgeous guesthouse with incredible views”

Guesthouse HYSA is the perfect place to stay in Valbone. The room was spacious, had a balcony and the most gorgeous view from the window. The breakfast was large and offered lots of options - very good value for money.

I thought all elements of my stay were brilliant. The staff and the food were all excellent. The guesthouse itself was super ideal regarding the Valbona to Teth hike as the start point was only down the road.

The room looked clean and tidy. Beautiful location. Pity that I didn't feel comfortable to stay.

“Comfortable, clean and welcoming family guesthouse”

This was a lovely family-ran stay after completing the Theth-Valbonë pass hike. Our room was very cosy and had a great view outside of paddocks/ mountains. We enjoyed a great breakfast. The hosts offered a short drive to the start of the hike the next morning to avoid walking along the road. The outdoor space has plenty of seating to enjoy a beer at the end of the day!

Location was perfect for the two days of hiking we did. Staff were very friendly and helped us with any questions we had.

This guesthouse was a good place for relaxing after hike in the mountains. Te rooms were clean and service was good.

Lovely 360° views right in the middle of valbone, and the room window view was like a postcard. lovely bar and very friendly family who run the place. All members are attentative. The evening meal was lovely and no stress on payment. Settle up at the end with euros, Lek, or card! Also, if you are walking then they also dropped you to the beginning.

“Large room with balcony and stunning view”

The location among the mountains in Valbona is amazing. We can enjoy the stunning view from a balcony and windows. The staff is so welcoming, flexible and kind! There are many tables in the garden to enjoy the outside. By sunny days, it was so good to take our coffee there! The restaurant in the guesthouse and those just nearby are a life savor

The hosts were really kind and friendly! Answered all our questions. They gave us a ride up to the end of the paved road in the morning so we were closer to the start of the hike. The garden and views were incredible, such a beautiful place to relax. The room and bathroom were clean. Good WiFi in the downstairs common areas.

The staff is very friendly and the food was very good! The beds were extremely comfortable :)

“Cozy family run guesthouse”

Family run and friendly guesthouse in Valbona. They offer a simple but nice selection of food for lunch and dinner as well as breakfast. The garden invites to relax and thei whole staff is extremely friendly and helpful. We stayed for three nights just to relax and recharge and enjoyed every minute.

Clean, friendly place. Comfortable beds. One of the guys drove me to the end of the road (beginning of track) the next morning. I didn't eat there, I made the mistake of eating at the restaurant over the road. Avoid. I later heard that Hysa has great food, "some of the best in town"

“Best value for money I’ve had anywhere”

Absolutely beautiful. The pictures do not do it justice! The views are like nothing I have ever seen before, and this is from every single window and balcony! It is one of the last guesthouses on this main road, so there is nothing blocking the brilliant view, unlike some of the others. It is great for if you are doing the hike to Theth, as it is situated only 40 minutes walk to the trail head (much of the others can be over 1 hour). The food was great and very filling, reasonably priced. The breakfast was also delicious and fuelled us for the hike. Breakfast is served from 7am, so early enough to still get an early start! They even offer a packed lunch for €5 to take with you. The tobacco shop is located in the grounds of the guesthouse for if you want some snacks, but it is pricey so I advise buying them before you arrive. Last but not least, thanks to the wonderful young girl who works in the restaurant, she is kind so kind and helpful!

“The best place to stay in Valbone!”

This has been our favourite guest house in Albania so far because of the brilliant staff and family run feel. The staff were so attentive, and the food was great - we loved the chicken, byrek and breakfasts that they made. It was a very convenient spot to end the Theth / Valbone trail and we loved chilling in the outdoor area all afternoon. Very peaceful. They also have a small shop for goodies, where you could purchase drinks, crisps, chocolates, cigarettes and more. We got the Berisha bus to Fierze at 10:30 the following day which stops in front of the guesthouse which was convenient.

The views from the guest house are magical. About 40 minute walk to the start of the Valbona-Theth hike. Breakfast was big and tasty.

“Good starting point for Valbone-Theth hike”

Good location to start Valbone-Theth hike, great garden to sit and relax or eat some food. Few minute walk into the center. Room was comfortable, spacious enough for 2. Bathroom small, functional.
