“Beautiful family run guest house in a great location”

Lovely family run guest house, in a perfect location for those doing the theth - valbone hike. You can commence the walk easily to theth from here, it is one of the closest guest houses to the trail. The room was very comfortable and clean, the family who run the guest house are very nice and incredibly hospitable. The surroundings are just beautiful. The food was also amazing. We would definitely return.

A very cozy family-run guesthouse located just a short walk beyond the end of the Theth–Valbona trail. The hosts were exceptionally friendly and spoke excellent English, while the traditional stone house, peaceful surroundings and delicious dinner made for a wonderful and authentic mountain stay. 😊

The house is perfectly placed for the hike to Theth. Ola is a fantastic hostess who makes you feel very comfortable,as do the rest of the family. Traditional homecooked food which was excellent. The rooms are clean and very comfortable. Would definitely stay again.

This guest house was absolutely fantastic. Its in beautiful location up near the entrance to the Valbona National Park, the guest house is surrounded by nature and animals. Our hosts made us feel at home and cooked wonderful food, I recommend booking to eat the evening meal, so delicious!

Kind and welcoming family. Hearty delicious home cooked meals. We were in safe hands and felt well looked after, especially providing us with advice about the walk to Theth. Also the bed was super comfortable too. Thank you for looking after us! I would definitely recommend this place for anyone coming to Valbona. Dinner was €15 which was very reasonable for the amount of food you get!! (It’s easy to find - just search guesthouse Hyrmet Demushi on google maps, follow the sign at the end of the road and follow the red marks on the rocks).

“Amazing Guest House in a beautiful location”

All the food was amazing and most of it was either homemade or homegrown. The host family were very friendly and extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. The room and bathroom were clean and well taken care of. The property is beautiful with lovely flowers and plants growing everywhere and the mountain view is stunning. As it is not located directly in the village it is very peaceful. It is the perfect location for starting/ending the Valbonë to Theth hike as it is right by the trail.

We had a wonderful stay at Hyrmet Demushi guest house! Our hosts were incredibly friendly and helpful; they went out of their way to help us with our onward journey, which we appreciated so much. We also had our most delicious meal of our whole trip here! It is a lovely, family-run guest house and we felt very grateful to be given such welcoming hospitality.

Everything was amazing, the family we stayed with was so sweet and accomodating. The room had all you needed and the food was good as well. If you go to Theth, it is a great location, you can start right next to it.

“Perfect for the Valbonë - Theth hike!”

The property is perfectly situated to begin our hike to Theth (or for those finishing). We caught the ferry and bus which dropped us off about a 10 min walk from the guesthouse. Ola and her family own the property and all of the meals are lovingly prepared and home cooked (even the bread!). We had lunch and dinner there and since we were starting our hike early, Ola also organised our breakfast the night before so we could pack and bring it. This was really appreciated and perfect for our hike. The room was comfortable although quite cold as they were made from stones. There is heating though which kept us cosy and warm through the night. Highly recommend and would absolutely stay again.

The whole family is extremely friendly. When the horses couldn't carry our luggage as planned due to snow on the pass, they organized the transportation of the bags to shkoder with bus and ferry so we could still have our hiking experience! While certainly rather basic the accommodation is super clean, beautiful situated in the woods with lots of plants and gardening happening AND right on the hiking trail to Theth so you save yourself quite some hiking from valbonë town if starting from there!!

“Wonderful location”

Really great location for the hike to Theth as you are already part way down the river bed. We found it easily enough following the painted stones. Rooms were basic but perfectly fine and clean. The bed was comfortable and the cosy blankets were welcome on a cool night (there is also an electric heater in the room). Dinner was good value at €13 and tasty, we also enjoyed the wine and home made raki. It is a little isolated but there is a hotel not far away at the end of the river bed which has a bar and restaurant where we had a good lunch on arrival.
