Lovely self-serve appartments run by a local family. Very clean and comfortable, an excellent base to explore the island from. The owners are great and leave you to your privacy once you have checked in.

“Perfect stay in Vaerøy with floatting sauna”
Spacious and clean apartment with a nice view of the harbour. The owner was very helpful and answered our call at 9 p.m., when we discovered that our original booking (Vaerøy Brygge) was closed. The floating sauna on the harbour is a must-try! We saw northern lights from their as well, beautiful!

“Nice winter stay at Vaeroy”
The guesthouse is only 800m from the ferry pier, has rooms with a nice view of the mountains (and harbor as well). Kind staff, clean room and facilities. The shop and cafe are 1.5 km away. Next to the guesthouse there's a sauna that you can rent, floating in the harbor. Bicycles are for rent in the village I think. The ferry to the island (a nice trip) is for free and even the helicopter services to/from Bodø are not that expensive (winter 2025).

“Highly recommended”
The apartment felt more spacious than in the pictures and was super clean. The kitchen was well equipped, the beds very comfortable (firm mattresses and good quality bedding) and the shower was great. We loved our stay in Bensvik Brygge and hope to visit Vaerøy again!

Really nice and idyllic place, helpful and pleasant hosts, awesome terrace where it was nice to sit with morning coffee and glass of wine in the evening. All in all, unforgettable experience. Also, we got invited to join morning swimming in the sea. It was fun, do it if you have a possibility :)

“The easiest and most comfortable way to stay on Vaeroy!”
It might seem a little bit cliché that I set everything to "very good", but it was honestly the best stay of our entire Norway holiday. The reception waited at night for our ferry to arrive, even when we were a little late (problems finding the right hotel). The room was very clean, especially the shower looked like they installed a new one just for us. It was all just very nice!

Lovely stay in a rather remote island. Clean, quiet, modern facilities with friendly, helpful hosts. Easy access by foot from ferry/heliport, walking distance to small town and gorgeous hiking trails. Double room, as stated, not including cooking amenities but not required for shorter stays thanks to location within short walking distance to nice restaurant close to the docks and local small but well supplied grocery store.

“Great choice for Vaeroy”
We had a cosy and modern room that was very clean. The hosts are friendly and forthcoming. They gave us many hints about activities on the island and helped with booking of the helicopter when the ferry was delayed. Perfect stay in Vaeroy, which I would definitely recommend.

“Best place to stay in Værøy”
The facilities are newly renovated, clean, fresh and bright. The kitchen was well equipped. Great view from the living room and a large porch right outside where we could enjoy a dinner.
