We were warmly welcomed and felt immediately comfortable in this lovely home. Our accomodation was light and spacious with a big bathroom and a lovely outlook over the garden. It was super quiet and ideally located to see everything in the beautful town of Uzes. Elisabeth and Francois hosted us perfectly - it was 5 star service from start to finish

Owner and host Elisabeth made us feel very welcome. She made restaurant recommendations and booked them for us. The breakfasts were varied and delicious. We loved the garden and swimming pool and swam everyday after exploring the historic town. Staying at Maison de la Bourgade was a special and memorable experience. We would love to go back and take family or friends. Highly recommend. The decor was stunning and we learned that Elisabeth was an interior decorator who lived in Ivory Coast before moving into what was initially her holiday home before she and husband Francois converted it into a guest house with five large rooms with spacious ensuite bathroom.

“Quiet gem for a lovely stay in Uzés”
Lovely place - fantastic hostess, very welcoming and helpful. Very quiet and effective air conditioning in our room; comfortable beds, everything was very clean. Breakfast was amazing, and lovely other guests to chat with. The walled garden is beautiful, the small pool is a great option in the summer, and it is about 100 m to the ring-road that surrounds the protected old town. The road itself is lovely with virtually no through traffic, so this is a very quiet option that is still very close to all shops and restaurants. Elizabeth's recommendations for dinner were fantastic, and she kindly made the reservations for us.

“Great Uzes experience”
If you are after a traditional Uzes experience, go to La Bourgade. A lovely old house in quiet surroundings, near the centre of town. An outstanding French breakfast, with lots of home made items, is served in a lovely garden/ pool area. Elizabeth, your host, could not be better. Great advice and very friendly. Highly recommended.
