“Much better than the usual business hotel”

A notch above the usual business hotel. Room was extremely clean, breakfast was delicious, and we appreciated the eco touches (amenity bar, water carafe etc) and coffee machine. Service was friendly and helpful. Location is great, with convenient parking if you are travelling by car. Coin laundry was a bonus.

Directly next to the train station. Very close to the town centre. The town is worth a visit for one or two days.

Convenient location. Interesting lobby and reception area, some good art prints. Room was small but functional.

The hotel is located immediately adjacent to the railway station, and there is a large car park next door, so it's convenient whether you're coming to Uwajima by car or train. The rooms (particularly the larger twin rooms) are quite roomy by Japanese standards. We did not use the restaurant, opting to buy in breakfast items from the convenience store just 50m away on the other side of the station entrance.

The staff were helpful and friendly, the room and the hotel itself was older but well kept. The breakfast was pretty good if you went for the Japanese option.

Great breakfast- both western and Japanese Complimentary drinks at self serve bar in restaurant was a welcome surprise The front desk staff helped us book a restaurant for dinner. Definitely highly recommend

Local very good, next to train station. Has everything we needed, plus we enjoyed the extra amenities in the foyer - tea, coffee, bath salts, etc ☺️

During our pilgrimage along the 88 Temples Trail, staying at JR Clement Uwajima was one of the most pleasant and revitalizing experiences we had. Before facing a challenging 30 km stage, we treated ourselves to a stay here — and it couldn’t have been better. I’ve worked in hospitality for over ten years and rarely have I found such kind, thoughtful, and professional staff. The services offered are truly outstanding: free happy hour, 24-hour coffee and drinks, a smoking area on every floor, vending machines, microwaves, and beautiful, well-curated amenities. The room was extremely comfortable, with a great bed and a spacious, modern shower. You can feel the attention to detail and the guest’s well-being. Also, the location is strategic, perfect for exploring the area. My sincerest compliments to the hotel manager and the entire staff: a wonderful example of Japanese hospitality.

The bed was very comfortable, not a futon on boards pretending to be a “Western“ mattress.

Unbeatable location for train travelers - same building as the train station. My room was facing the front of the building (not the rail tracks side), and the noise of trains was not an issue at all (you might want to pay attention to this detail when booking). "Welcome free drink service", with both alcoholic and alco-free drinks. No mind-blowing selection, but still a nice touch. Walking distance to Uwajima Castle, and Ryuko-in temple (which is a very nice place to pay a short visit) is located almost on the other side of the street. The hotel has a bit of an "old fashion feel", especially the front desk floor/area, but it is not anything which would deserve landing in the "negative" section; it even brings a kind of nostalgic touch if you are in for such things. I stayed in dozens of budget/business hotels across Japan and after a while it is really difficult if at all possible to recall anything unique about any of them because they are so "generic". This one is at least that tiny tad different and I liked it :-)

It’s a classic japanese business hotel but with classy service. I felt like in 5* hotel. Staff is very pleasant, breakfast is super delicious (you can choose between two full japanese sets and one continental). There’s also a free welcome drink with unlimited refill (can be alcoholic if chosen between 18:00-20:00). It is directly connected to JR station but it is quiet do don’t worry. Bed an pillows are super comfy. 7eleven is right next door and all Uwajima restaurants are easily walkalble.

It is at the train station which is what we needed. Ok for. Night stay and then move one. Hotel is old and needs some maintenance, but it is clean and provides what needs to provide. I just think it was too expensive for what we got, but we didn’t have much other options.
