Breakfast is included and very nice. Location is in Uvita and walking distance to the beach. Owner was very nice and helpful (we had to find a doctor). Bar and easy meeting people.

“Wonderful, memories a-plenty”

Great breakfast and food, great location, so close to Playa Chaman, perfect for focusing on surfing, you can also rent boards there and book lessons. Flutterby is a local institution I would say. They have weekly DJ nights, locals also go there for a beer (the bar restaurant is open to the public), people know each other, family vibes. I extended and was there about 8 nights in total. you get into a vibe, it starts feeling like family, people know you.I really like that. I was always in a private room so I cannot say anything about the dorms, it was almost always sold out which I take as a good sign:-)

Very chill place, super close to the beach and laid-back vibe. We stayed in one of the tree house cabañas - really nice! It was very hot but luckily there is a fan. Plenty of showers, toilets and they are clean. Good facilities - appreciated there are yoga mats to use! And hammocks to chill in the garden.

If you end up in Uvita, Flutterby House is 'the place to be'. You are a few minutes from the beach, you have a yoga deck, good food at the own bar and the most relaxed atmosphere in the area. I highly recommend it for anyone who wants to feel the true 'Pura Vida' spirit!

My treehouse had a fantastic balcony and stayed cool even in the heat. Great kitchen and close to the beach.

I really liked the style of the Hostel. You could See that there was a lot of thought put into this hostel and its design. Sleeping inside the mosquito nets was a nice experience, while you could hear the birds in the morning, which was a very nice experience experience.

The Flutterby team is some of the kindest people I met during my trip to Costa Rica. They recommended local places to visit, the breakfasts were delicious, and the atmosphere was very positive and fun. The also allow pets. If you don't want to use the communal kitchen, they have a room with your own kitchen and bathroom. You get so much more than what you pay. Highly recommend!!

“Great jungle escape close to the beach”

Lovely place: you wake up to the sounds of the birds and howler monkeys and Uvita beach is a short walk away. They have a nice bar and the restaurant serves great breakfast. Staff is really friendly and helpful. I could leave my luggage there after checkout time because I went on a day tour.

“Nice vibe close to the beach”

Super nice vibe in this hostel, the staff was friendly and the place had a good vibe. We were there for the anniversary party! Really fun. The breakfast was also nice. We booked a double room with shared bathroom but the services were fine and close. Very close to the beach inside the Marino Ballena National Park. Would stay again.

What I liked the most about Fluttery Is that it Is nearby the beach. Also it Is on a big compound, which gives the rooms more privacy.

This hostel is in a very nice spot next to the beach and close to restaurants, coffe shops and markets. The people there are all friendly and kind. As a solo female traveler I felt super safe and comfortable in the hostel but also in the village. The nature is amazing and I had the opportunity to see a lot of animals in the nearby park like monkeys, birds ect. The facilities are like an organised camping very decent.

Great place to stay at! Friendly staff. Lockers, sockets next to your bed and moskito nets. The arrangement of the rooms is very cool. Lots of common areas. I can definitely recommend to stay there!
