“The place to go for your Arctic holiday”

We will never forget Hotel Valle. Our cabin was just perfect, with a beautiful view on the frozen river. The fireplace was a big plus as well as the much needed hot sauna. We also recommend the restaurant, very cozy and delicious. We could see the northern lights everyday, from the balcony - a very special thanks to the guide Berrti, who came to knock on our door when the aurora was forming right above us <3

I loved the location, remote, cosy, and the river outside the window. The house itself is very warm with underfloor heating. The staff were very friendly. Overall our stay was pleasant. Please notify the location before your arrival so they can prepare food because restaurants in the area are usually closed. As an alternative, you can buy food on your way as there's a fully fitted kitchen available, with dishwasher and all the tools needed for cooking.

“Wonderful stay”

Beautiful location by the river. Quiet and peaceful, just what we were looking for.

One of the days during my stay I had an issue with the breakfast. It was not the same as on the other days. Later I was told that the chef got sick and they couldn’t cook. Instead, they left a basket with oats and apples in the room. Hours later we realized there were some rather cold ham sandwiches in the fridge, but there was never a note indicating that they had been placed there. The hotel itself is very beautiful, we could even see the Northern Lights from the window, and the owner was super friendly and approachable. However, at the very least, a note letting us know about the food in the fridge would have been appreciated!

“Had a relaxing cabin experience”

I stayed only one night in the regular hotel room (number 205) that I originally booked before upgrading to a cabin. All I can say is that it was very clean, comfortable and new, and had a small fridge and instant coffee and tea. A nice surprise were two pieces of Fazer chocolate. There was nothing really wrong with the room, but once I noticed that cabins were available, I booked one immediately for that extra "Summer cottage" experience. I should note that the WiFi worked perfectly in the room. The cabin that I upgraded to was number 10, called "Logi". It had a sauna, a TV, a fully equipped kitchen (which had real coffee and a coffee maker as well), two bedrooms and a terrace. Supposedly all of the cabins are equipped the same way. My stay there was very peaceful with no noises or other disturbances at all, be it day or night. The view from the terrace was wonderful, consisting only of the Tana river and a big green hill and nothing else. It provided an ideal setting for relaxation after a day's activities. There was no need for the guest to bring any bedclothes or toiletries - all of that was included both in the room and the cabin. Final cleaning was also included in the prices of both. This can be seen as a significant plus as cabins/cottages in Finland typically require a guest to bring their own bedclothes and toiletries and do a proper final cleaning. Finally, as a small detail, I appreciated that there were extra sets of towels which made my one week stay more comfortable.

Easy access/checkin to one of the cabins although the reception (and restaurant) was closed. Full kitchen, quiet and beautiful location by River Deatnu.
