For lovers of antiques, gardens and simple comfort, this is a gem. This Vintage-style cottage offers great value for money, and the host is exceptionally accommodating and friendly. The bed on the top floor is very comfy, but the stairs are small and deep, so that might be taken into consideration.

If you're looking for a place to stay in or near Utrecht, look no further! This lovely little cottage right by the water has everything you need, including free WiFi and even Netflix. There's a tram stop right outside too, so you can get into the city centre in no time. Also, the owner - Anthony - is the kindest man you'll ever meet! He greeted me with a drink of my choosing and a cookie upon arrival, and offered to make me coffee for the road when I left. I couldn't recommend this stay more and hope I get to return one day :)

The location was quite nice — not too far from the city center, which was easily reachable by bike in about 15 minutes. The host was friendly and communicative.

The landlord was the nicest, kindest person you can imagine. He was extremely helpful and friendly and provided an excellent breakfast. The accommodation is next to a canoe rental and very close to the city, and has everything in the kitchen and living room you could ask for.

Lovely welcome from "Tony" who was full of helpful information. Peaceful location but easy walk into the centre of town (approx 45mins). Much quicker if you use the provide bikes. Great breakfast, brought to your "cottage"

Perfect location, Anthony was very welcoming and helpful, perfect for walking the dogs, the house had everything we needed (breakfast was possible but we had a brunch date in the city, next time we'd love try it though since the reviews were superb...).

Location and style. Great attention by the host

Great place to stay near Utrecht. Hosts were super nice upon arrival even if we were a little earlier and the place is really nice. It was clean, with a private bathroom and a small kitchen. Not in the center of the city but it is easy to get there with bikes (we had our own but the house has some guests can use).

“Privacy and comfort with boat rental next door!”

We enjoyed this little vakantiehuisje very much. We took advantage of the free bicycles provided and used them to go shopping and ride into the centrum of Utrecht (where we parked in the free underground fietsenstalling using the barcodes on the bicycles). We chose this property for its privacy, and also for its proximity to the boat rental place (we did rent a boat). Its proximity to the tram was great, but catching the bus from the centrum after 22h made us wish we had taken a taxi or ridden the bikes (note: we did not ride the bikes into the centrum at night because they were not fitted with lights, so maybe bring your own!). The little garden was lovely for sitting outside in the morning with our coffee and breakfast. The fridge was a good size, and the ice cube tray was appreciated. We used the washing machine (we coincidentally brought laundry soap with us, purchased for another vakantiehuis the week before - note that it is not provided, so do remember to bring your own) but did not use the dishwasher (we did not bring dishwashing soap and didn't think it made sense to buy it for a three-night stay). We used both the French Press and the coffee machine to make coffee. It was nice to have both. And it was very nice that there was a sugar bowl next to the three coffee filters provided (we weren't sure if this was coincidence or planned, but because there was a French Press, both my partner and I were able to make coffee (regular for him, decafé for myself). We were very happy that the host was able to provide a couple of extra towels when we checked in. The furniture was comfortable and functional. It is nicely decorated. We used the combi microwave oven; however, I did have to look up the instructions online because I was unfamiliar with the unit, as no booklet was provided. The unit was very gezellig and we enjoyed our stay very much. We will likely stay here again due to its great location and amenities. Note: bring slippers!

Host was very kind, flexible, attentive. He prepared breakfast for us which was very large and excellent. Right next to line on the tram. We liked being away from the city center to sleep, eat breakfast. We found riding bikes to city center and points of interest was easy.

Location: It is located very close to the tram station. 15 minutes from the center by bike. Very green, direct access to a huge park with amazing scenery. For 10€ you can take a canoe from the host and use it for the day. Really worth it. Heating: The house heating was decent, it was an AC unit controlled by the host, so you have to communicate with them for turning it on/off, but the house would get warm fast. Warm water: The water was hot all day. Free bikes We (a couple) were given two free bikes to use for our stay. It was our main means of transport. Kind host: He was always available, helpful, spoke English fluently, and gave recommendations.
