“Nice place at the end of the world”

Very nice place to stay. The family is very nice and available for help you. The place is very peaceful and clean. For me I feel at home.

Communication was limited as a translation app was used. Host was hospitable and suggested activities. Transport to the airport was very convenient.

I really enjoyed my stay at la Casa del Mono, it felt like being at home, with shared kitchen and bathrooms with few people, which made it relaxed. Really different than the other super full, busy and expensive hostels in Ushuaia. The host Ariel was very helpful and available for anything (gracias :)). The walk to the center might be a burden to some people, but I enjoyed it. I recommend!!

I didn't eat nor stay at this place because booking.com messed up big time. Even though they had no bed for me the host gave me his phone and computer in order to try and find a place when I discovered that the room promised by booking.com did not exist. The host is a warm and friendly man who is truly amazing. He even offered dinner for me if I wanted to come back in the evening after my search for a bed! I felt so welcome. I highly recommend you book directly with him on their website and not with booking.com who left me literally out in the cold on New Years Eve.

Host was very friendly, relaxed and patient with our Spanish. Location is fine, showers are good and wifi is strong. Dog in the house is lovely and very gentle.

I wasn’t made aware I could not pay with my credit card, so had to try get cash out as it was my last night in Argentina so I had no cash. The bed was very hard so wasn’t a good night sleep. After a while he showed me some thing around the place but was just very unorganised.

The breakfast provided consisted of bread and cornflakes, along with coffee. It was totally minimal, and could not really be called breakfast. I provided my own as a result.

My room was dark throughout the 5 days of my stay. Despite requesting to fix the lighting several times, to no avail. All that matters to the owner is taking the money only.

A really wonderful hostel to stay in when you are visiting Ushuaia. The staff are extremely kind and helpful!

“It can be better”

The staff is awesome: kind, warm and cheerful. During my short stay I really got along well with them. You can realize how much they love the city. The shower itself and the heating worked well. Breakfast could have been better although it was ok. The location is pretty good. The living room and the kitchen are spacious. You can store some food in the fridge and have fresh water from the tap.
