We got a free upgrade to a chalet (supposed to be in our tent) as no water in the campsite - thanks Claudia. Very very quiet! Gin and tonic was good.

The campsite was clean and had riversand on it. We could walk bare feet around the campsite. As campers we had our own ablution facilities.

Apart from friendliness and cleanliness we found the camping area beautiful and spacious.

“A magical and secluded site with friendly staff”

We camped at this idyllic location and loved it! It was well worth taking a short detour to stay in a magical valley in which this place is located (there are also small bungalows available). We were the only guests so it was incredibly peaceful and felt wild but comfortable. The owners provide a list of bird and tree species found around the place and there is a well marked short trail to a fabulous sunset view point - a breathtaking panoramic view! There is also a wonderful common area where your an have dinner but we only went there for an evening drink - a great selection of drinks and very comfortable armchairs :-) All the staff were super friendly too. Absolutely loved this place! Would definitely stay there again.

“Unexpected luxury”

Stunning location and an unexpectedly luxurious separate ablution facility for each site.

Beautifully located on a small mountain plain just a short 15-20 min drive from Usakos. The facilities of the camp grounds were great and from what it looked like, recently build/renovated. We liked the unexpected quietness and surrounding nature. Make sure you plan ahead as there is no electricity at the camp sites.

Just 10km outside Usakos, easy access, lovely little clean campsite with brand new his and hers showers with an old school "donkey fire" to heat the water for lekker hot shower! Friendly staff and amazing sunset view point next to camp site!

“Amazing stay!”

We camped at Achab for one night. The campsite is equipped with all you can need and is huge!! The Main reception area is absolutely stunning! Claudia, Philip and Steven are amazing.

The place was beautiful, clean , well kept. Quite isolated, surrounded by mountains, perfect spot to relax. Super nice staff.

Achab is a very nice camp site in the Spitzkoppe area. It’s well maintained and organised, with good communication from the host. The staff ensures you have warm water during the night and morning to take a shower. The value for money is great and the area is beautiful.
