This German-run hotel is quietly located and offers a charming little beer garden. From 4 pm, complimentary coffee and cake are served, which is a nice touch. The rooms are spacious, especially the bathrooms, and the terrace with garden view is perfect for relaxing outside. The hotel is less than 10 minutes from Arusha National Park, which is great for day trips. Dinner is served as a 3-course menu – decent value for money overall.

All staffs are very friendly and helpful. Best service we had at the restaurant out of all the hotels we stayed in Tanzania. Hot water bag were provided in the room without needing to ask so the bed was very warm when we go to sleep.

Good Location near Arusha NP

Amazing place to stay if you want to do trips around Arusha (Meru Kikuletwa hot springs, etc),. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the food is goooood! We loved all the plants and flowers on the domain, it is well maintained. The beer garden is a great place to enjoy some drinks and meet other travelers. Most comfortable bed we ever slept in, with additional blanket which is nice as it can get cold.

Great experience. We've stayed here 2 times. First time arrived after climbing Kilimanjaro and were very much looking forward to some comfort and Meru View Lodge was exactly what we needed. Very friendly staff, great food, fantastic room/accommodation. Washing our cloths was possible and not expensive. Second stay was on our way back from safari. We needed to fly early in the morning (6 a.m.) to Zanzibar and we even got a great breakfast at 4 a.m., served with the same smile.

Because … … you’ll find here a small oasis just a few meters next to the gate of Arusha Nationalpark … the huts have everything you need, are furnished with love, and from your balcony/terrace you either look at the pool or in the big garden … the food is incredibly delicious - a mix of Western/German breakfast with Tanzanian influence, a coffee break in the afternoon, and a three meal dinner … and the most important point to make your stay unique: the PEOPLE. “The best place to stay during your visit to Arusha”

We loved this place, from the facilities, the staff and the food. Since we got to the place, we were really warmly received by the staff, Jacky and Willy. Jacky specially helped us in everything we needed. The place is beautiful, great for relax and to do safari tour to the Arusha National Park. They arranged our safari tour with our driver/guide Rich, who was really the best. We learned a lot with him. We are very happy to had the chance to stay at Meru Lodge and to be able to meet so wonderful persons like Jacky and Rich.
