The caves are very nice and also spacious and my cave even had its own Turkish bath. The breakfast was nice

EVERYTHING! This is a must stay. We loved every single thing about this hotel. The history made everything so much more special but the upkeep, the amazing and friendly staff, the amazingly beautifully decorated rooms, the attention to detail made us go back for another stay. This should be your number one choice when choosing accommodation in Urgup or even Cappadocia. The breakfasts at Kayakapi were exceptional with attentive and very friendly staff. A special shoutout to Ugur, Simah and Rümeysa. Nothing we asked was too much effort for them - thank you for taking care of us so beautifully. It was our 26th wedding anniversary and to help us celebrate it, they gifted us a wonderful bottle of wine, biscotti and a huge fruit basket - along with their welcome chocolate box, local almonds, raisins and dried apricots. All these extras made the stay even more special and enjoyable. Thank you for making us feel so special and at home ❤️

“Wonderful cave suite hotel in Cappadocia”

This was an amazing stay that also helps local conservation efforts. Every cave suite or room is named after the original family who last lived in it. The caves are beautifully warm during winter and ours had a personal hammam which was even toastier. The suite included complimentary fruit and snacks which are replenished every day, and it had the most glorious views over Urgup. The property also has a separate larger hammam and the breakfast spread was very generous.

Really lovely and amazing hotel. As soon as we arrived in Cappadocia our Taxi driver from Airport said it’s a best hotel in Cappadocia. It’s has an amazing heated swimming pool in the room.

Everything was great except for the female reception staff who showed us to the room who were extremely rude and aggressive, thinking that we did not speak English - we were very tired and slow in responding but we are fluent in English as Australians but we are from Asian backgrounds so she might have misunderstood.

“A Cave Hotel with Dream Modern amenities: Beating Heart of what Cappadocia is all about”

Hotek Kaya Kapi was not our first choice. A Cave Hotel booked four months in advance canceled our booking and Kaya Kapi happened to us. In thirty years of our travel, we would count it as first among the best in terms of a very special and unique experience. An Entire Mountain of what was once many cave dwellings, has been converted to grand suites and apartments. We were given a round of the hotel and our apartment. In the living room we were shown the cave dwelling as it was before converting it to a grand apartment with a Hamam. We were shown where in the old cave we stood as we looked at the old photo. It was a grand experience, a travel in a time capsule. The apartment maintains the old roof and the niches and corners as they existed in the cave dwelling. The Apartment is beautifully designed with antique furniture with plug points at many places. It is the first hotel where I found a charging port on the bedside win a charger. That is surely thoughtful. The Location and views from many points of this vast property are beautiful, overlooking an entire village with red roofs that becomes a Fairy Land as lights come up. The hotel has Forty plus go carts to transfer the guests from one point to another and also to the center /downtown which is again very thoughtful, practical. The staff is very warm and efficient. We carry a part of the hotel back home and value it highly. As we were leaving, we were given a set of two coasters [ made of light, white rock] with our apartment name & number and the hotel name engraved on it. Beautifully done. One of the other memories I carry of the hotel is a beautiful collection of Tasbihs of the Promoter who first set up Kaya Kapi. It is surely a blessed place. Serene, Beautyful, Relaxing.
