Overview
La Valle Del Vento is a former farmhouse on the hills of Montefeltro, 15 minutes' drive from Urbino. The property is surrounded by wisteria and chestnut woods, at the start of a walk path overlooking the Umbrian Valley. Parking is free. The rooms at La Valle come in a rustic style, with wrought-iron beds, tiled floors, and exposed wooden beams on the ceilings. Each room features a private bathroom with shower, and free Wi-Fi. The restaurant is open for dinner, and serves local specialities made with fresh 0-km range produce. A sweet breakfast is served at the table until 10:00 each morning. During summer, you can relax in the sun terrace with outdoor swimming pool.

“Birds singing”
This “country farm” hotel with swimming pool was a very nice surprise. The friendly couple running the place, making your ordered breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner if you wanted. “Slow pizza”, and “slow wine”! Their balcony atmosphere was really relaxing, as was the stay at their nice swimming pool. And, wow, the fantastic birds singing from the trees, making the perfect surrounding audio realm melting into your face, smiling. The room was big and with a nice view of the Marché valleys. A lot of the food and drinks were home made and organic.

The location was stunning and although 7-8 KM outside Urbino the drive into the city was straightforward and easy. Francesco was a super host and the breakfasts plus dinner one evening were delicious. There was plenty of parking at the property.

“A blissful stay in an oasis of calm”
The Valle is a gem. It’s close enough to use as a base for visiting Urbino but still gives a sense of being ‘in the middle of nowhere’. The air-conditioning was a real bonus in the heat, as was the swimming pool. Francesco and Sara run a superb operation, as long as you remember that La Valle is primarily a restaurant with rooms, rather than a traditional agriturismo - you’re left in peace to enjoy your stay, but they are happy to help if needed. Their passion food served with authenticity, integrity and pride. We very much enjoyed our stay and we’re sorry to leave.
