“Good location, bad smell”

Very clean. Food is amazing apart from the spaghetti with Tuna. Spaghetti was too stodgy. But good location and very friendly staff.

No nonsense hotel. Clean rooms, good facilities, room service and great internet. Great value for money.

Chagala is a well kept, welcoming hotel. My room was spacious and well equipped, with kettle, refrigerator, desk and complimentary water renewed daily. Wifi is good and strong. There is a bar and restaurant on the premises, which is very welcome after a long day's sightseeing on foot. Staff are universally friendly and helpful, and generally have good command of English. The laundry service is simply outstanding, with items left out in the morning returned by early evening at the outside. The hotel is within easy walking distance of many interesting sights and the busy city centre, along with numerous eating places, supermarkets and mini-market/convenience stores. Taxi from the station took about 10 minutes, to the airport about 25. I throughly enjoyed my stay at Chagala and it is my first choice for another visit to Oral.

The laundry service

The staff was very helpful, called us taxi and printed our boarding passes. They are attentive and polite. The breakfast was nice. Many options, and cold cuts and cheese were kept refrigerated, which we appreciated. The room was clean and shower works very well. If you stay for at least 2 night they do your laundry for free. We didn't need this option, but it might be useful for some. They do not have an elevator and the hotel building is 2 storeys tall. Generally the hotel exceeded our initial expectations. I think they deliver better than it is shown in the descriptions and photos here. Or many we were just lucky

The hotel has absolutely no soundproofing. You can hear everything, the hotel’s design seems to amplify all sounds. Relax and sleep - not in this hotel. The gym is located in a separate building and this is an inconvenience, especially when it is cold outside. In addition, there are no towels or shower gel in the gym, which of course becomes apparent after a workout. Thus, the location of the gym in another building becomes an unpleasant problem.
