“Friendly and value-for-money ho(s)tel”
The location is very convenient for Urakawa as it's equipped with a Ramen place and a hot baths right next door. Otherwise, the small gift shop with some of the local specialities was a real treat. Not to mention the friendly staff. I really enjoyed my stay.

“Unexpected hidden gem of hokkaido. True local experience, no fluf and no touristy trap.”
It is the best local experience you can have at a rural town. I am an asian coming to Japan for my honeymoon and I can say please come here of you want a quiet and lovely experience of japanese true local culture. The owner build this place by himself and is obsess over birds. So he always offers a morning hike to do some bird watching and have a lovely overview on top of the hill over the town(free of charge). This is the true local onsen experience too:) Also, the room is bigger than it looks. That's great for baggage.

The single room is sooooo fabulous!!! The room is pretty large with scenic view. Quite place and pretty good to live and work here. The guesthouse also has a room for remote work. The receptionist is friendly and willing to communicate with translation machine. Note: there's no shower room in living area but only Sento/Japanese bathhouse in 1F.

“awesome experience and super friendly hostel”
nice staff and I had a good time in the hostel. definitely will stay again whenever I have a chance to visit the area.
