“Lovely mountain view”
Our room had an amazing view of the mountains, and there was ample parking (the hotel was not so busy when we visited). We enjoyed lovely dinners both evenings at the hotel. The breakfast was standard. We also had afternoon drinks served by friendly staff, who were very welcoming despite the language barrier.

Dinner was excellent! Restaurant atmosphere and service was outstanding. So nice to see a real part of Switzerland with only local people in the restaurant. Breakfast had a good offer and the fresh bread was very good.

We had a fantastic stay. The location was perfect. The room was spacious, the beds were comfortable, and everything was spotlessly clean. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Troyes!

Great place to stay, very welcoming and professional owners. Everything was perfect and the dinner in the restaurant was outstanding. I would highly recommend this Hotel. The owner even let me park my motorbike in his garage, very considerate of him. Thanks..

“My go-to hotel in Schächental, to recommend”
My second stay at this hotel for hiking in the surrounding mountains and for seeing the waterfall Stäubifall. Room vas extremely clean. Excellent food. The veal liver was delicious. Gentleman who speaks English was very kind, helped me carry the suitcase upstairs. He was attentive, efficient and quick to understand and fulfill my requests.

“We enjoyed our stay!”
It‘s walking distance to the Stäubifall which is the main location we wanted to visit. The place is peaceful and beautiful. The room and linens smell so fresh and clean! The staff are friendly. The breakfast is nice. We arrived before check in time but they gladly gave us the key to our room. Staff are helpful. Lots of walking/hiking trails. Will not hesitate to come back!

“Traditional beautiful Swiss property with mesmerising views”
This property is gorgeous, we felt like in a movie staying in traditional swiss property with the best mountain views. Size of the room was huge, bathroom was spotless like brand new fittings. Room was warm and cozy. Hotel's staff was nice and helpful. Breakfast was good too but selection could have been more. They. have car parking too. The property was very well maintained.

“heart of Swiss alps lovely relaxing hotel”
on the outside looks classic Swiss but on inside quite modern,,, room was big and spacey with good comfy bed,, very welcome powerful shower,, on site dining was very tasty and very helpful staff helping us with the menu,, breakfast was also very very good coffee to die for,,, location is also a bonus,, very friendly relaxing place for a stop over

“Great stopover that we hope to use again”
The room was much nicer than the one we stayed in two weeks earlier. Bed was comfortable. As before, the staff were very friendly and helpful. Dinner was very good as was the breakfast. Plenty of parking.
